You guys are the cutest!!! We are going on our first cruise in December (on the Inspiration) and your videos are THE BEST!!! We are taking our older children 14, 16 and 22 and in watching all the different videos yours definitely give us a more realistic idea of what to expect...what do you recommend for first timers when it comes to possible seasickness or is it not such a huge thing given the ships are designed so differently than an average boat? I’ve heard it’s not as common as most may think....any thoughts?
Thanks Melody! We just uploaded a new cruise vlog today! As for seasickness, Bonine works really well, just one pill last 24 hrs, only side effect is you get a little tired.. but a quick nap, and you'll be good to go! The sea motion is very subtle, takes several seconds to sway to one side. But, when the sea is calm, you feel very little to no motion at all. It's really only noticeable when you're sitting still. Hot tip... the best cabin location to minimize the sea motion feeling is towards the center of the ship and close to the water (in level). Y'all will have a great time!
I've done 3 Cruises 2 from Port Canaveral on Carnival Sensation & RCC Majesty of the Sea and 1 out of Miami Norwegian Sky. I enjoyed Carnival Cruise line the Best so far do y'all have a cruise line preference?

We took a trip to LA and took this exact cruise on the same ship last year! Really enjoyed Ensenada and La Bufadora, lots of feels with this video! Thanks for sharing!
Love your videos, I'm working my backwards through the years. My daughter want me to go on a cruise with her in the worst way, but they always seem so crowded to me. This video seemed to have less people around. Was that because you stayed on board more? I know this video is very much pre COVID, but it's not so hectic looking in the background. With that Chef's Table experience, she might just be able to talk me into a cruise someday.
Ship is mostly crowded on the pool deck and buffet areas during peak dining times. There are always parts of the ship where you can be alone and not crowded at all.
last question: (so sorry for bothering you =P) I saw you skipped Catalina Island. Is there anythign you recommend seeing or doing there to someone who has never been. Thank you
There are several excursions offered by Carnival, from zip lining, parasailing, to off road adventures. We've done the off road excursion before, bumpy, but fun. Or you can always get off the ship and just walk to the main tourist part of Avalon (5-10 min walk) to shop and eat at a variety of restaurants there. Golf cart rentals are also a big thing there. There are a few cart rental places within walking distance of each other, and I think it's cash only. More question, please ask away! =)
One place I already have reservations with in Catalina, ever since two weeks ago is Steve's Steakhouse. Fine dining on the cheap. Additionally, I might even book a chef's table after I pay down the cruise and even a resort getaway in Ensenada. This cruise on the sister ship is gonna come in no time.
This is influencing what I'll experience on the Inspiration's Sister the Imagination. As a first timer, again I cannot wait for what the sister ship will bring and what Catalina and Ensenada also bring. As it is, during port days, I'll be much busier enjoying port than the ship. But on seaday, I'll enjoy the ship.

The Tasting Bar is located on Promenade Deck 9, next to Cherry on Top candy store and the casino. It's offered daily from 5:30pm to 6:30pm (or lost to that time). Thanks for the kudos!

Karina, Yes the Tasting Bar is free! Starbucks should be able to give change in pesos, as well as other 'established' businesses as their dollar to pesos conversion rate is preprogrammed into their registers.

Hi Lorraine! Sorry for the late response, we were in France shooting some vlogs. We know lots of singles go on cruises. Pricing is typically 1.5x the advertised rate for single occupancy in a cabin ($300 per person rate would be $450 for single person). Hope this helps!

It is filling for sure, and definitely worth doing. Book this in advance or right when you get on the ship, it sells out quickly.
