Zorra means fox in English but it has another meaning in slang Spanish language as a bitch, but in Spanish you can use bitch as an insult or just as a joke between friends. In this case, zorra is used as freedom. Freedom for doing what you want to do, without you don't care bad critics coming from people, zorra as a woman who is empowered to live as she want, and having equal opportunities in life, job or whatever without matter your genere, your age, etc. it pretends everyone be inclusive

Nebulossa was formed in 2018 when the romantic couple decided to form a musical group. The name of the group alludes to nebulae because on a trip to Port Ainé they went to an astronomical observatory where they were constantly mentioned.
Bas, 56, and Mark Dasousa, 49, are married, they have two children, one 23 years old and the other 11, and a dog. They generate income through a hair salon. But also, for years, they have had a great passion for music, they don't have a record label or set designers, they do what they can with what they have.
They showed up at the Benidorm Fest with the intention of being able to reach the final and for people to know them and know about them, they never thought about being able to get here and go to Eurovision.
They bring a song that has clear intentions, it has a very direct, empowering and danceable message, they have developed the feminist message that Zorra brings. Hoe het dit gaat doen?? I really don't know. Depends what the other countries bring to the table. It would be good if by the time Eurovision comes many people in Europe know the strong meaning behind this song. It's a really serious song packaged in a happy happy music.....like ABBA did many times (remember the winner takes it all behind a disco beat!!). But it doesn't matter, it will be a Spanish ANTHEM for many years to come!! ZORRA ZORRA!!

I love this song, and interpret that society that brands women "zorra" out of judgement will also censor men that are not following narrow, normative masculinity. The singer and dancers claim their liberation together, it's a lovely message.
BTW, she is not saying anyone is a slut, actually, but women will be branded one pretty much for any self-fulfillment by toxic judgement.
I hope she maybe gets bit of vocal coaching for Malmö. Husband on keyboards is amazing, I loved the synth arrangement in this song to distraction.

Some people are a bit confused about why the song from Nebulossa is such a fever in Spain. Let me give you context:
The word "Zorra" literally means female fox but its also a terrible insult to say to a woman, worse than b*tch. María Bass after her 56 years of living has been told this word countless times, for looking good, for having fun, for being honest, for being succesful, etc and now reclames the word to create a feminist anthem with it.

That automatic translation is terrible. This song is an anthem of liberation that will last for years and years. Danceable too. The audience screaming and knowing the lyrics is absolutely glorious. What position will he be in? Nobody cares... Eurovision votes depends on many factors and music is often not one of them.

It was not my favourite song this year… 😢 is kind of performance for dance clubs but not for Eurovision in my opinion 😅
