    I don't understand the men who don't pay their support. I am not thrilled with paying $3K in alimony and child support, but I know it's the responsible thing to do to make sure that the kids have a roof over their heads. Makes me sick when I hear about other men who don't even pay a measly $60 a week. Your story is inspirational. You have done a great job raising your children with what little you had and working hard to make things better for them!

      @EvelynGB 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Don't even think about it being your money, that is the kids money and just because you give it to their mother it is still for them.

    • @akassebaum
      @akassebaum 9 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Yes, I agree, Evelyn! I was just making a point that guys should take responsibility for who they brought into the world. I despise that some guys move on to other women who have kids, but they won't support the ones that he brought into the world. That's horrible!

      I was just getting ready to scroll down and rant about child support and pathetic dead beat dads before I saw ur comment. I am a 22 year old woman and my sperm donor has been on the run trying to dodge his child support payments since I was born. It makes me so angry when i think about how if he had contributed just a little my mom wouldn't have to break her neck to keep us out of poverty. I commend you for doing what you can for your children in your situation.

    • @akassebaum
      @akassebaum 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bianca W, I've seen and heard a lot of stories that are quite similiar to that of yours. I once had a friend who told me that his family had to resort to rummaging the BK dumpster because the father was a deadbeat who was so into his drug addictions. He never paid his support. I remember the day there was news of a home meth lab explosion in that town, he was unfazed to learn that it was the deadbeat who perished. Yes, this is an extreme case, nonetheless it does seem to happen everyday.
      No child should ever have to go through poverty struggles because of a deadbeat parent. I realize my income is above average than some, but I think every little bit goes a long way toensuring the stability and quality of life for the child.

      It's a sad thing when moms have to do it on their own. Hell it's sad when dads have to do it on their own. I've never gotten a dime in child support and have a 3 1/2 year old and a 4 month old. Sometimes the other parent refuses to help, so we have to find ways. It's hard but worth it. It's good to hear about parent's who are separated that step up.

    My eldest son is 22 and his father was career criminal and drug user/dealer spending most of his life in and out but mostly and currently in jail. He also has a daughter and has never paid a dime to either of his children. However, looking back now we are all better for it. Yes, we had to work harder (both of us mom's) but we have raised (along with wonderful supportive men who became great fathers) amazing, strong, independent, loving, healthy children who will also be amazing parents one day. I am very proud of both of them. Do not underestimate what you do to make a great quality of life for your children. You are their rock and they will see that, your actions show them love, nurturing and the ability to use all of your resources to make them your priority and to be home with them..... that will speak volumes to them as they grow. You are a good, strong, brave woman and mother to put it ALL out there. I truly think they will cherish these videos one day. They will be able to look back and see a vulnerable side of you, they will have a video diary of their lives and of their mom..... We as mothers/single mothers put on brave faces for our children -even though we know they see glimpses of it when we have our moments- crying into a shower curtain ;)-
    I just want you to know I rarely EVER comment on anything more than a smiley face, thumbs up or an angry face as I am always afraid of offending anyone and everyone and am terrified of negative feedback. I tried blogging and thought about vlogging but was too embarrassed that people would think what I have to say is dumb, or put me down for some reason, I cannot handle the in your face hate that people get. So I really admire you for being able to go through all of this, put it out there, tell your story and ignore the hate. How to you deal with it? How do you get passed the hateful comments to be able to respond to the sincere questions?
    Ayways, I'm starting to ramble....
    I wish you and your boys so much peace and happiness in 2017!

    I had no idea you do marketing and accounting!! It's really hard to have a full-time job as a single-mom... Kids can get sick and you might need to miss work, which of course your boss wouldn't be happy with. The cost of the daycare could take up most of what you earn..., etc., etc.. I am going back to school for half a year to study accounting!! I was hoping I could get a better-paying job with that, but if I could get some accounting jobs I could do from home... that would be soooo nice!! My son says he wishes I was around more... :/ I am looking forward for the budgeting video!!

    I work from home doing data entry for a medical billing company in my town (I live in CA). It's strange that they can hardly find anyone to hire and they even hire people from other states. It's gotten so bad that they've had to outsource a lot of the work to an overseas company. You're right that jobs are out there and all you have to do is look. There are so many work-from-home opportunities but I think it's hard for people to let go of working in an office....

    My deadbeat father paid child support 3-5 times in 18 years. Back then, the state never seemed to care about it and would only send money when he ended up in jail. Now, at work, I see lots of people who have their checks garnished for child support -- some people only pay a few dollars! The whole situation is messed up.

    How are you not making money from TH-cam dear?! I watch a channel that just both quit their jobs to do TH-cam full time and they have less sub's than you! Crazy! Are they all monetized? Are all the four boxes checked on the monetization options? Something isn't right.... If I were you, I'd go through all your videos and check.

      She must be making enough unless she doesn't have them set up, like you're saying. She has over 24 million views total!

    Question? Will he have to pay back child support? Why does he want to lower what he is already expected to pay for child support? You take care of yourself and your kids, he should pay for them too.

    It's funny I stumbled on to this women's videos last month, and at first I found her really annoying, after watching a lot of her videos and especially this one. I respect her a lot for doing all she does to pay her bills and support herself and her children. I wish her all the best and much success in her life.

    That's my favorite ChapStick too. Don't buy the mango one, it's not good compared to the peppermint.
