    Pretty incredible considering the Highlanders played this game without the best scrum half and full back in the world

      Charlie Tee Hahaha crack up. I've never seen someone get so pissed off over nothing in the space of two seconds.
      Yeah bro, and I bet you never passed standard 3.
      I never said for a moment that I didn't like TJ or that he wasn't a good player. I just said I preferred Aaron. Here's a tissue.

    It just shows the strength of NZ rugby. The fact that their provincial teams can defeat the combined British and Irish Lions speaks volumes.

      Surely this is the opposite of clickbait, as you don't even need to watch the video to find out who won. Clickbaiting would be "you won't believe what happened in this match" or some nonsense like that?

      If you mean he was caught out a couple of times by Jonathan Joseph's deceptive running, he's not the first and he won't be the last!

    • @JJ-xp6mr
      @JJ-xp6mr 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      vonteflon if you mean Noholo's never done that before it won't be the last

    • @JJ-xp6mr
      @JJ-xp6mr 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      James R Tomayto Tomahto. Naholo missed two tackles and the first was a blatant error in going for the ball, not the man. On both occasions he rushed the line. The reason he can't crack a regular starting jersey with the ABs is because for every one thing he does brilliantly, he usually makes a poor call elsewhere

    • @DarkJonas33
      @DarkJonas33 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I'm surprised he keeps making the all blacks. Every test match I have seen him in he has made multiple handling errors in a team that rarely makes those kind of simple mistakes

    In what world is 0.24 not obstruction? No 4 is looking directly at the defender, moves into his path and the guides him away from 14 who runs into the hole he just made for him

  • @joeskienz

    Lions got beaten at their own game with a powerful and dominant performance by the no-name Highlander forward pack against a bunch of all-stars. Lions played very well and with a positive attacking attitude which I commend them for, but they just couldn't finish off their many chances to score points. That was a vastly more entertaining and free-flowing game than the Crusaders game, regardless of the result.

  • @liamodroma
    @liamodroma 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Why put the result in the title?

  • @almcdonald8676
    @almcdonald8676 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    still thrilling to see the unity between the home nations boys. Slightly worrying scrum at the end though. Maybe gatlands saving the big front row for the tests

  • @peteryoungpeteryoung965
    @peteryoungpeteryoung965 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't forget, the Lions have been cobbled together for four or five weeks. These NZ club sides play at a fantastic standard and have been coached and drilled for months, if not years. Any coach will tell you, you can't beat playing together. I am sure the Lions will gel by the time the tests come around. There were a few missed tackles in those Highlander tries and there's no excuse for the Lions scrum. Ten out of ten for the Highlanders, eight for the Lions.

    can anyone explain why Wyn Jones was not penalised for stepping in front of the ruck and obstructing 2 players when Warburton scored? Or is this just more crap refereeing that the game has sadly fallen to these days?

    • @RossGrieve
      @RossGrieve 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He was part of the ruck and still bound to it.

    • @thomashardy4194
      @thomashardy4194 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No he wasn't. He was dragging one player - neither of them attached to the ruck - and impeding another. It is this type of play and substandard refereeing that is turning this great game into a farce.

    • @RossGrieve
      @RossGrieve 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's was a fair try, there was no block that would have stopped the try. The Highlander player was coming back, I think Henshaw made more out of it. They have the tech to review it. If it was the TMO would have flagged it.

    If you dont watch Pro12 rugby then you won't realise just how good Tommy Seymour is under the high ball, that score doesn't suprise me.

    • @BouncingBallsofFire
      @BouncingBallsofFire 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ITubaUTuba You're showing your ignorance there. Sopoaga had him shadowed, preventing him moving closer to the posts. Sure, Seymour could have tried to dot down closer to the posts, but would've risked the tackle from Sopoaga. Don't hate for the sake of hating.

    Highlanders unreal win but can anyone explain how that isn't blatant obstruction by the highlanders 4 for Naholo's first try?

  • @gamingnz1
    @gamingnz1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow 9 front line players ,the highlanders coach Tony Brown missing from this game. Ben smith, Aaron Smith and 7 forwards on NZ Maori duties, a bit of a concern for the lions. I can see a repeat out come for the rest of there tour unfortunately, a shame! I was hoping they would at least push the all blacks a bit. But so far I haven't seen anything that will change this. You really need to put this into perspective. If the all blacks went to the uk on a 10 Match tour and lost 2 games to a super rugby equivalent over there ( just wouldn't happen) what makes this even worse is this is a team of 4 nations, worrying times for the lions. Hopping from a rugby mad fan (all blacks fan) the lions can at least compete in the tests.

    The Highlanders looked the better team but the refereeing was a joke. Lawes given offside - wasn't (3 points). No obstruction leading up to the try - absolutely ridiculous (7 points) - coming in from the side not given - lazy runner offside costing potential try.
    Like I said, I don't mind the result but it's how it was achieved - this ref made too many mistakes to be on any decent panel.
    We'll get slaughtered in the tests and I am ready for that but you've got to get a fair shake of the dice - when you don't, you're entitled to be pissed off. This ref was crap and most of it was in one direction. Great game to watch, but...

    Typical kiwi disrespect at the end, tapping the lions on the head because of the scum penalty, then when JJ knocked on at the end, one of there players gets in his face laughing! I have a sting dislike of the all blacks and the arrogance of kiwi players in general.

      Feel free to pack up your team and fly back to Britain if you don't like it. Shit talking the opposing side, rubbing their belly/patting their head and getting smart when they give away a penalty is normal here, everyone does it and nobody has a crywank. We like giving each other shit in this country, it's fun.

    • @electrocutedfrog6953
      @electrocutedfrog6953 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ah the old claim the abs cheat fallback, it's complete crap, plenty of cheap shots over the ages from all countries, I remember just the other year a Saffa player stamping on the head of a Crusader. Next you'll say we poach players even though the Roses field more foreign born players than we do. We only sent 3 foreign born players to the 2015RWC for example, there were more in England's team. Also why are we talking about the ABs? You lost to the Highlanders sugartits, a domestic franchise, and yes it is fun :)

    Would be great if these super rugby boys start winning with some class instead of the unsporting behaviour they constantly exhibit. eg. forwards celebrsting in the face of opposition after a scrum decision goes their way or worse, no.17 celebrating in the face of JJ after his knock-on at the death. So disrespectful and arrogant, puts such a dampener on the great performances they put on. The All Blacks aren't usually as bad for it thankfully and tend to act with a lot more professionalism.

      Soccer celebrations in the UK are renowned in rugby circles for being much more over the top in general than rugby ones in the UK. So, while I appreciate your preference for rugby your comment is not quite accurate in its implications.
      Anyway, I think over-the-top, disrespectful celebrations in rugby union have become more common since professionalisation in every country.
