They were banned in LA to the point where they started having house shows at Mike Muir's garage.A lot of it had to do with gang affiliations and violence at their shows
I'm glad you enjoyed that. A massive song, and this lineup could be put up against any band, great musicians, that can really fucking rock. Rocky George, the lead guitarist, is one of the best to ever play the instrument.
From what I remember, they were banned here in LA in the late 80s due to several riot issues at their shows. They weren't allowed to play in LA again until sometime in the last decade.
Yeah suicide was banned in L.A. for most of the 80s. They were eventually not banned. The news said that they were "inciting gang violence and riots" when they didn't understand thrash metal around that time.
Man you gotta react to "The Ghost inside" new song and music video "aftermath". They got into a serious bus crash in 2014 killing both drivers and severely injuring the band, the drummer even lost his leg. It's their first song since the crash. Crazy emotional
Is that a brother on the guitar?!! Damn right, but not just any brother in the guitar, but the most underrated guitar player in Metal music. Rocky George, that's his name. Check out Suicidal Maniac, The Miracle, Hearing Voices, basically the whole How Will I Laugh album. To me these are the top songs in the album, and of course the self title song, but I'm just tired to hear it for so many people just over played it. Just don't try the video edit version, cuz they cut the intro solo and it takes away the essence of the whole song. Good crossover band from Venice Beach in L.A.
Keep in mind 1st amendment rights were under attack from tipper gore and pmrc. 2 live crew, Ice t, jello befra, mike muir were guests on talk shows like donohue, salley jessie Raphael, oprah. defending their freedom of expression and censorship. The image of the constitution burning at the end. I didnt vote al gore because of tipper gore. The whole parental advisory stickers made the artist even more popular. Everybody loves to have something the government doesnt want you to have.
Hands down one of the greatest lyrics ever written : ".. you wouldn't know what crazy is if Charles Manson was eating Fruit Loops on your front porch!" And " Feel like shit?, Yeah maybe sometimes i do feel like shit.., but I'd rather feel like shit than BE FULL OF SHIT..!"
They did get banned, twice, I wasn't there the first time, but the second time was because people ripped the shit out of the place they were playing at. Still one of the baddest ass concert I remember going to!
Now, they just shoot 'em... Mike and Rocky and Suicidal were talking about the shite that is still happening now... Rage Against The Machine? What has really changed in the last 30-40 years? Peace?
how do all of these reaction videos happen at the same time? It seems like there was 8-10 Suicidal reactions this week. Kinda odd for so many people to randomly decide to react to a 30 year old band
I stopped watching as soon as he said "even back then the cops were whooping that N^^^^^^ ass" Come on...... This shit has to stop.... I do gotta say, Rocky George is a GREAT guitarist. I also think Suicidal sucks these days, but, just my opinion.
Rocky George one of the most under rated guitarist ever, the guy is just amazing he gives the band their signature tone. Always does such great solos.
They were banned in LA to the point where they started having house shows at Mike Muir's garage.A lot of it had to do with gang affiliations and violence at their shows
And their "I shot Reagan" later renamed "I shot the devil" (some says because of the FBI pressured them), it sure didn't help
Also, Rocky George never got enough credit for being the bad ass guitarist that he is.
By far the most underrated, but an absolute monster.
I always thought this... when I learned to play I was like wow.. why isn’t anyone talking about this band? The bass too, always top notch.
He's playing with cro-mags now, you can recognize his signature riffs instantly
@@griselame the whole band at this time. Never bettered. Back when rock music meant something.
Those who appreciate Rocky know he is a legend.
🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
What a trip... went on a Suicidal binge just now and came across this video.. glad to see people still checking out Suicidal Tendencies..
Mike Muir hasn't changed much even to this day. Same stage antics and body language hahaha. Suicidal For Life
Suicidal for life!
'Rocky' George most underrated guitarplayer ever...he is f%$cking great...Rock on Rocky.!
Rocky George is one of the greatest guitarist in Rock music.
Try "Institutionalized" all Mike wanted was a Pepsi.
Classic track. Teenage me related a lot lol.
better yet, do the body count version and many a kek will be had
Which is referenced in the Korn song All In The Family featuring Fred Durst because it’s so influential
@@self-transforming_machine-elf I just saw that! Coco is looking extra thicc.

Not better, watch Suicidal's version first, then the Body Count one.
I'm glad you enjoyed that. A massive song, and this lineup could be put up against any band, great musicians, that can really fucking rock. Rocky George, the lead guitarist, is one of the best to ever play the instrument.
Totally. 'How Will I laugh Tomorrow' remains a classic, timeless
Hell Yeah they were punk/metalheads from the hood and were definitely a influence to Ice T with his band Body Count
From what I remember, they were banned here in LA in the late 80s due to several riot issues at their shows. They weren't allowed to play in LA again until sometime in the last decade.
Dude you should check out the entire album “ lights, camera, revolution.” Total kickass experience. “ Get whacked” is my favourite tune. 🤘
Thank you for this review. Suicidal has many GREAT songs. The guitar is incomparable, the bass of Trujillo, and the drums of Lombardo. WOW!
Yeah suicide was banned in L.A. for most of the 80s. They were eventually not banned. The news said that they were "inciting gang violence and riots" when they didn't understand thrash metal around that time.
They were huge amongst Skateboarders and Mr. Rocky George is still a pipe swinging badass. Great reaction Brother
Yeah bro! Beavers! Not the kind Winona had

Man you gotta react to "The Ghost inside" new song and music video "aftermath". They got into a serious bus crash in 2014 killing both drivers and severely injuring the band, the drummer even lost his leg. It's their first song since the crash. Crazy emotional

They did get banned in LA and they were the only band to be labeled a gang by the government
Love your dog
4:16 As W.C. Fields once said "Never work with children or animals."
Some of the members were from Dogtown(Venice) California and had ties to the famous skateboarders The Z Boys and the current bass player for Metallica
🎵🎶CAUSE I'LL ALWAYS BE....ST🎵🎶
Suicidal's "The Art of Rebellion" album is so underrated. It's one of my favorites. It kills and so different from previous releases.
You wouldn't know what crazy was if Charles Manson sitting on your porch eating fruit loops. One of the best ever written

Yup, they were banned from playing in LA for a few years
They did get banned, twice, I wasn't there the first time, but the second time was because people ripped the shit out of the place they were playing at. Still one of the baddest ass concert I remember going to!
Rocky George is so underrated.

Suicidal Tendencies - "Institutionalized"
Skatenigs : Chemical imbalance . Offspring : Bad habit
this is the video that axle rose stole. guns and roses stole the electric chair scene then tried to sue S.T. even tho they did it 1st.
