My boyfriends parents bought an old Victorian house and the first thing they done was refurb the windows to double glazing so it holds heat better, and the upgraded the boiler and the actual radiators too! Has lowered their heating bill substantially. Big investments but so worth it 💓

Jamie as someone who works in the dog training industry its so wonderful to hear you use positive reinforcement training and the fact that you sought that training out on your own and understood the value in it vs correctional behavior training is so amazing. It makes me so happy to see how proud and happy you and Juno are together when you work with her. Congrats on the new place!

So happy for you and Jack! It's also so refreshing to hear an influencer talk about taking their time doing their house up, being thoughtful etc. It really shows how aware you and Jack are of being able to live in your dream home and the cost of doing it all up. Not that I expected anything less. You always come across as down to earth and hard workers.

They are amazing. Elegant but cozy and they feel like home. Thee are days when I think about moving there only so I can live in one of those but then I realize I have a life here in Canada 😂

Jamie, all you need is a drain stopper/Plug and you can use the tub until you get a permanent drain replacement. It keeps all the water in and just sits on top of the drain.

My friend is a German shepherd breeder/trainer and I watched her train before and she’s always said that German Shepherd‘s especially love to train and they love to get rewarded and make their owners happy!!!

to keep the water in the bath you can get a silicone bath drain cover, they work really well if the plug isn’t working!

You are doing same with Juno as in doing with my Penny - I also have a bum bag haha. Sometimes it’s easier to accept they won’t be social with other dogs but aim to just get by dogs - it’s just their wee way. Happy in the house is all the matters when you close the door ❤️
What a BEAUTIFUL home!! I love old houses they have so many cool details that you dont find in new homes. Although work needs to be done--it is so worth it! The windows, ceilings, fireplaces, staircase just stunning! The conservatory..stunning!

My bathtub drains too!!! Do I got a rubber disc thing that covers the drain...and saved the day.

YESSSSS BEEN WITING FOR THIS LIKE CRAZY!!!!!!!!! OMMMGGGGG LOVE YOU JAMIE
I’m pausing half way through because my husband has fitted kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms for years. Somewhere on you’re bath, there should be an access panel, even tiled as it is, there has to be access (it may be hidden). All that’s wrong is the plug system needs changing, probably the seal on it has gone. You may even be able to lift out the metal plug and change it without the access panel. I’m presuming you aren’t even getting the water above the jets, so water won’t be leaking from those as they can leak as well. It can also be the seal of the metal rim of the plug mechanism needs resealing.
I’ve had a bigger version of this bath with the hot water tank, what we did was to treble the size of the hot water tank because a combi boiler wasn’t an option in the country, we didn’t have gas. Once we increased the size of the hot water tank, if I wanted a really deep bath, instead of filling with a kettle, I made hubby get in the bath with me as it was big enough for 2, his size increased the water level (you’re welcome 😂).
Honestly it may only be a simple fix to get a bath without having to rush to get a new bathroom suite etc x

It’s amazing! I love the dining room it’s just perfect! The tarten rug is fab! You are so right to live in it, and see how you are going to live in it. What a orangery you have there, I have one but not to your level!!!! It’s stunning it will be so hot in there! The windows are incredible! Just so enjoy it don’t rush, you will get there, you say about a new build! I compromised on on one. And there is no character and unbelievably there is so much to do, I think they are built fast and sold, you made the right decision lovely.

This is all so wonderful, so happy for both of you and the pups! I can absolutely understand how you fell in love with the house, omg, the floors, molding, ceilings, even the stairway banister..lol...so stunning! You need to check out Farrow and Ball paint colors whenever you get to the point of switching up the walls, a home with so much character practically cries out for their colour selection and the quality of their paint is amazing. I'm moving in a couple of moths and definitely want to use them in a couple of the rooms. Such good news re Juno's training progress, your technique sems spot on, it's all about keeping that focus on you so they don't even have a chance to react to anything that might act as a trigger for them...congratulations!!

In the states, I swear EVERY HOME has got water tanks! New construction and rich people will upgrade to an endless hot water tank. Pretty much boilers around here are in WAYYY old houses and big buildings!

Welcome to the immersion life! One thing that is really a game changer in the immersion world is a few years ago we got a "instant hot water tap" for the kitchen and it honestly reduces hot water stress so much. It's basically like a mini electric shower in the way that it heats the water but is honestly so handy. Highly recommend!

In the living room, if you switched the couch position so it's facing the fireplace, and you mount the TV over the fireplace, it would be easier to have a seating area by the bay window that would be more open for entertaining! Can't wait to see the evolution of this house, congratulations on this new chapter.
Hot water tanks are like a gift from hell if you’re a bath person 😩 change it before you have kids or there’s just never enough water left to soak in the bath! Love the house!
