This video deserves 12 MILLION VIEWS not 12k!!!! I learned modular arithmetic In 30 minutes after struggling with it for ages. After watching every video in your series I was able to not only complete my homework but get full marks in my homework and test I literally can't thank you enough!!!!!!
quick question: i tried 5 + 16 (mod 3) and using the identity, I got 3 (mod 3) but when i added 5 and 16 = 21 and did 21 (mod 3) , I got 0. why is that?
@@ogorchukwuofili7319 She forgot the explain that if the result of the operation is >n (n from "mod 'n'") you will have to do the mod operation again on the result. Does it make sense to you? All the examples had their results as less than n so yeah, good question.
I know modular arthritic is really hard especially when i am hopeless at maths but in 12 minutes and 42 seconds boom! I got it , Am i lucky that this was the first channel i clicked on for this subject Thank you very very much .😎 Modular arthritic
After watching a lot of videos about modular arithmetic and not understanding a thing, this is it, this is the best one by far. Thanks for putting examples!
i've been struggling with this for HOURS, your video has explained everything so perfectly and clearly, thank you so much!!!!!! you deserve more views and subscribers♡♡♡♡
I'm an extreme case of visual learner because I have such a hard time to understand mathematical concepts without a visual real-world application and I can finally say that after watching at least 15 videos on modular arithmetic I finally understand the basic concept. Thank you so much!
😇 Beth, you are an math Angel, I have seen more that ten video lectures on the subject, but no one explains the three methodologies like you, you have to give lectures in Cambridge University ! Huge thank you !!!!!!
o my God i cant believe it i have been struggling with modular arithmetic for more than 3 weeks but ever since i watched this video for me it is more simpler than ABC I💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 THIS VIDEO
Hi Beth! Thank you for the fantastic explanation! I just found your channel and I think I've found a gem in the math TH-cam community :D Thanks so much from a fellow college student, cheers!
Sorry I only just read your comment! I’ve taken a break from making videos for a bit but I’ll get back to it soon.. I’ll definitely add this to the list! Good luck in the meantime 😊
Correct me if I'm wrong in this calculation 142.3 mod 29.5 142.3/29.5 = 4.82.... round down to 4 29.5 * 4 = 118 142.3-118 = 24.3 so 142.3 mod 29.5 is congruent to 24.3?
Amazing, no problem! If you look at the description below the video (you might have to click to expand it out) there’s a link to Dropbox where you can download it! Hope that helps 😊

The sense in this. Thank you so much
🎉🎉🎉 Great thank you so much but can you please explain what happens when you get like negative number for example -7 mod 6
Thank you so much for this video❤
Nicely explained 🔥🔥

Hello again. Will you do a video on multiplicative inverses modulo n by any chance? :) pls
Sorry I only just read your comment! I’ve taken a break from making videos for a bit but I’ll get back to it soon.. I’ll definitely add this to the list! Good luck in the meantime 😊
Great explanation!
Thank you!☺️
Correct me if I'm wrong in this calculation
142.3 mod 29.5
142.3/29.5 = 4.82....
round down to 4
29.5 * 4 = 118
142.3-118 = 24.3
so 142.3 mod 29.5 is congruent to 24.3?
truly amazing explanation for this complex topic. I am math online tutor ...Amit from India.

You're actually wrong about 26 hours. If we had 26 hours in a day the clock would go up to 13 not 12. So 26 would be 0 not 2.
😮
I was so dum at this thing
