To add more "stealth" appearance, add a couple of amber lights to the top of your truck. You don't even need to wire them up if you don't need them. But it gives the appearance that you're a construction vehicle and that you're supposed to be there. Something else to do is to stop by a used uniform shop and find some shirts of coveralls that have a company logo on them. No body will ever bother you. Great rig !

Cool setup, Brad even has a one wheel n a paraglider all fit into that beautiful rig! Gotta love it! The taller size cap is sweet the way all the doors open up is panoramic. Great use of space! Just goes to show that you don’t need a big rig to have big fun! I’m working with a small 5.6 ft. Bed with a standard leer cap n it’s coming together fine, cannot wait till it’s complete!
That the Paramotor breaks down to go in it's 'Hanger' is extremely neat, low profile and secure! Simple, healthy living with everything he wants in a relatively compact unit that doesn't stand out, what's not to like!

Loved my 96 3/4 ton powerstroke. Gave it to my dad with 375k on it. He still has it. Great trucks. Long bed, great to make an overland vehicle. Also had a 2003 dodge Cummins which I loved just as much.
@@Down2Mob I have had it about a year. It's great for around town too grocery shopping. Now can go to a movie whatever after. No need to rush home. My setup is NOWHERE near as nice as yours. Slowly upgrading. I have a sleeping platform a snugfit cab height top on my ram 2500 w a diesel. Next is solar. Would 300 watts do it?
thats awesome, good to have a practical rig! Nice, sounds like a great setup. Sometimes simpler is better! I have a 250w solar panel and that is plenty for the fridge, lights, and charging laptops and things. At least a 100ah battery, maybe a couple like Brads setup
For $30ish u can add a 12volt linear actuator w/300lbs of workin force off Ebay or amazon for each of the side hatches so they'll electrically open & close.. i use the stock gas strut on the one side to make it so u only need 1 per side, i have the same topper on my work truck & have mine wired into my car alarms remote so i can open & close remotely and i love the convenience.. going on 2+years since i installed & I've had no issues yet

Brad is the man! I know him personally. I worked with him for years and thought of him as a little brother. Sold my S-10 to his little sister. Got pulled over in my Cadillac giving him a ride home. I may be 74 & crazy but come April\May 2021 l will be living in some kind of a vehicle. I have down sized and gathered supplies for living on the road. It is cold in Canada...borders are closed. So no Arizona. So l have to plan for very cold winter. I grew up poor off the grid...so God willing l am done giving all my pension to landlords. Too stressful.👍👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️Thanks for your knowledge, experience and your video.
I like his philosophy and minimalism. Yet I would have done things differently to avoid so much crouching and kneeling. The bed should be as low as the counter and the counter should be as high as the bed so that you can cook while sitting. Any loss of storage on one side would be compensated for on the opposite side. I cant believe he gets all the rec junk in there. What a way to live. Happy travels.
So just found this channel have watched 3 videos and after three years of living in a van and watching stupid TH-cam videos on Van build and other people's vans I have to say the first three I have watched of yours are more practical realistic and honestly a lot more comfortable and cool looking my kind of style so well thanks for the channel

As a trucker, the first winter you drive you learn real fast to use additives in the diesel to keep it from geling up. If it starts to gel it will destroy that pump quick.

i got an f250 7.5L and looked into this stealth stuff as well. i found i will be further ahead to get an suv with decent mpgs and tow a short rv. planning to get a 2004 disco.
@@Down2Mob not sure which way I'll go actually. The truck gives me more towing options, overhead, 5th wheel, bumper pull, but I'll need to sell it and get a 4wd version especially if I buy a 5th wheel trailer. A disco would be sweet and better mpg but far more limited in towing. Dilemmas, dilemmas...
@@Down2Mob I like that our trucks have such massive payload capacity but an overhead is smaller living space and I believe it should be easier on fuel to pull that weight than to carry it. So for me an overhead might be crossed out. There's so many pros and cons to every option, even stealth, that it's really hard to choose the best one the first time.
@@Billy_Darley it is tough! I think the best thing us to ask yourself where you want to go and what you want to do and build the rig that will do that for you. Sure, make it comfy, but if your healthy and able, a minimal setup can get you to more places.let me know what you decide!
@@Down2Mob ya I for sure want comfort but I don't think I'll have to push max capacities to obtain comfort. Not entirely ruling out overhead or even stealth but leaning towards bumper or 5th wheel. I would buy a cut off tool, some aluminum square tubing and some aluminum sheeting and raise that roof. Tack it in place with self tapping screws and pop rivet it once everything is in place....and insulate...
For a van conversion that gave me an idea for stealth camping. Don't try to just darken windows ... draws attention ... Put utility industrial flip down covers. Make it look more like a work van.
Get some magnetic stick on and have printed on them... interstate Porta potty inspector and sanitizer,,,you could smear some chocolate and peanut butter in strategic places like on the door handles..not only will nobody bother you they will keep a distance when they walk by your truck..
Reminds me of the time I went parasailing...hated every second of it. It literally is like hanging from a swingset...only that swing is hanging from the equivalent of a skyscraper building.
My first girlfriend's dad was the most serious quail hunter on the planet. He was a dentist and could have afforded almost any vehicle but he drove a white f250 because he looked like a rancher, lol. He had a lot of quotes but one I remember was that 'ranchers believe that if you fire a bullet it continues to travel around the Earth until it hits a cow.'
