i always find the eco friendly discussion in board game humorous. paper, plastic, tons of energy, and thats before shipping across the globe in a digital world for strictly entertainment purposes doesnt scream eco concerns. looking forward to this game when it delivers. those counters are quite clever. @@BoardGameCo less is better for sure. if they use less single use plastic it cant hurt. i just find the overall focus on it by some counter intuitive i guess, since there is a more obvious option.
Looking forward to an Expeditions unboxing as Stonemaier has gone eco friendly with wingspan, I think they are doing the same with their future releases as well. Let us hear what you really think of those bags!
So i also had a seeming missing miniature at 9:22 My space is at the bottom right, exactly where one of yours is. Did you find out if it was a missing piece or what?
These minis are stupid good! It looks amazing! I was so tempted to get this but wasn’t a fan of the huge minis that you don’t get to have on the table that much. I hope to try it someday. 😁
Well it arrived, we played and I have moved on. I did not love it. No one in my group did either. Sold it today. It is competing against too many other games in this category for me and this game was not great. The production is gorgeous, but that is not enough.
Better than a numbers system for the unit heath would be a colour grading, similarly found in video games. Green full health, yellow for less, then orange, then red and so forth. Requires no glasses and can be seen from the other side of the room.
@@quashmonkey It is the strength of your army, in LOH they gave more miniatures, so a presence of 3 you'd have 3 figures in the region, this way will help the map look less cluttered, although I am not sure which way I'd prefer, I love all those Dudes on a Map.

But untill then these games sit on the display shelf next to scarface, wonderlands war, in too deep, kemet,... just looking pretty 😂
I almost backed "Lords of Ragnarok", but I found it lacking. It also became too expensive. And while I like Sci-Fi themes and Fantasy themes and Viking Mythology themes, I don't like the cyborgified mythological theme. And with Awaken Realms miniatures it's a lot of hit-and-miss, some are good and some are not.
I was one of the chosen playtesters for the Lords of Ragnarok and I was terribly disappointed with the game. AR fixed the monster hunting bit but due to the layout of the map, the strategic gameplay was lost. It was just a fragfest. Compared to Lords of Hellas which I came to love and enjoyed, LoR failed to meet my expectations. The minis are great though from the Odin statue AR sent to me as a form of gratitude for participating in the testing.
That's what I was afraid of when I watched the videos about the game during the campaign, and why I ultimately chose not to back it. It seemed to have a very different style of gameplay than LoH. What I'd really like is a LoH Second Edition, which reworks things like quests, and rebalances some of the powers. That's really all LoH needs to elevate it from good to great for me.
@@arthurdent9281 totally agree. We have incorporated some of the monster hunting rules from LoR into LoH and it helped balance that by alot. Increasing the strength of the weaker monsters helps too. Lots of house rules to make LoH a better game
I could be wrong but… I’m assuming a few copies were sent for approval. Since it was approved they sent them for channels to showcase (like AP - Artist Proof editions). Backers are excited to see these as we have been waiting. If you read the updates, production has finished and are all waiting to be loaded and shipped all over the World.
You shoudl state in the beginning of each video of content you make about AR product that you work for them (if the excuse is Gamefound is not 100% AR it will feel really not honest). It seems the recent controversy hadn't taught you that and your own statement about the situation is not as crystal clear...

I just play with them already built because they look awesome fully erect and I just use a die to show the different level we are on.
