Hey im your opponent in game 4. Im so shocked and awed that i got matched with you cause you inspired me so much in playing vgc. To your defense i did used this ursaluna team earlier in the season so i know the strategy
Everytime I see Magmar and Electrabuzz being the support choices, I feel bad that Magmortar and Electrvire's most important contribution was activating Eviolite for 'em.
That’s true for so many of the gen 4 cross gen evolutions their unevolved forms are more competitively viable. Electabuzz, magmar, murkrow, dusclops, porygon 2 to name a few
@@sachinpatel5447 at least Porygon Z had it's time in the sun in different generations. I think it did pretty okay ok not amazing but okay. The rest went out sad!
I root for Aaron in every one of these matches, but oh man did I want to see his reaction after getting smacked by a life orb Amoonguss or min speed Basculegion in game 7. I saw James show off the team on his channel and it's such a bo1 menace.
You can tell that Aaron "Cybertron" Zheng is really enjoying climbing the Regulation H VGC ladder in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and providing live commentary as he goes, because we've been consistently getting 1 hour and 30+ minutes of content every upload. Twice in recent memory we've almost had two hours of excellent commentary and games.
QOTD: mine was Marracash, an Italian rapper, for me the best italian rapper at the moment, and, fun fact, he has done an ad for Pokemon Black and White back in 2011. Great video Aaron!!!
I love the Jubilife City bgm at the start! I'm not sure why, but your bgm choices always put me in the mood to chill and stay for a while when I hop in your videos, great choices always :) Love the content too of course! ^^
52:30 "Man, Unaware Dondozo is so good. Surely, I won't miss the Intimidate-blocking nature of Oblivious or the burn-blocking nature of Water Veil at all!" -The burned -3 Atk Unaware Dondozo in question
I don’t think I agree with this. The beauty in Pokémon is that you can create a niche for any Pokémon to fill and then build your team around it. There are always going to be pokemon stronger than others, but calling it power creep is arguable. Kyogre and Lugia are two of the oldest legendaries and both of which were still very viable in the restricted format. Charizard is a gen one mon that’s still outputting some of the highest damage in the format. Intimidate isn’t a new or unique ability, yet it’s arguably the best tool on any team. There are new variables in every generation that players have to adapt to, but I don’t think that “devalues” other mons. That’s why specifically in this format you still see so many unique teams and mons that can perform well. If you want to use any specific Pokémon, it’s up to you to teambuild and find a role that mon can succeed in. Just because it’s not statistically the “Most effective tactic available” doesn’t mean it’s bad. This idea is what’s wrong with video games as a whole today IMO. So many people think you have to use whatever the TH-camrs/streamers say is the meta to be able to perform well. I think part of the reason Aaron makes these videos is to show that this is not the case
@ I totally hear ya! (Honestly didn’t think my comment would get any attention). That’s also why I follow Aaron he always covers the cool unique picks. I just wish some of my gen 4 homeboys got the gholdengo/ursaluna treatment of having ultimate moves to build around.
@@KanderUdon if every mon was designed with comp in mind pokemon would be 100x more unbearable. skill issue if u ask me. wanna use a mon u dont think is good? just make it good.
QOTD: Green Light by Lorde was my number 1 song. It’s on a Spotify made running playlist I listen to, so I think I ended up listening to it like 40 or 50 times.
Ryan little was my no1 artist on Spotify. But being fair I play a lot of his music while working because it’s just instrumentals. It’s basically like the chill lofi playlist but it’s just his work specifically.
That Gengar team must have been some all-around 0 Ev 0 Iv speed, Iron Ball cursed sht that I saw featured maybe on James Baek's channel QOTD: one artist on my Spotify wrapped was italian rapper Neffa. Check out his first album "Neffa e i Messaggeri della Dopa", it's one of the best rap albums I've ever heard and it also has some songs featuring English-speaking rappers.
I'll be honest I hate this team lol I've had such a rough ladder experience this month that my whole opinion on the reg is changing and I'm kinda glad it's ending Good video as always tho!
Prolly played my last game on Saturday games just too hard to play with so many other titles out nowadays hopefully Pokémon can make another generational game because the entire switch series was lack luster s/v just so displeased by it good luck to you until the next generation of games if I even buy them

Now the drain punch play makes sense. Without knowing the team that would've been insane.

It’s sad too because they have killer designs

O ja thats sad for both if then

I never played any Pokémon online but I love watching Comp. Pokémon. Thanks Mr. Cybertron for another banger!
My number one on Spotify was Sleep Token. Well deserved!
QOTD: It was King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. No surprise to me I love them and their music is so diverse its insane :D
QOTD: the Wiggles... classic dad LOL
When you have to question if you're being stream sniped while off-stream you know they're making wild plays
Indeedee + Sneasler being named "Very Good" "Game Design" is very funny
Thank you again sir. Just got started doing tedious work and needed something to watch while doing it. You're videos are always my go to if possible

QOTD: nujabes, the mix of hip hop, jazz and downtempo is unmatched
QOTD Wolves at the Gate. I am in their top 1% of listeners every year. They go hard.
It’s sad to see how power creep devalues every mon that never got optimized stats, signature abilities and signature moves :/

Yeah I wouldn’t really call that power creep more like GF not really knowing how to design interesting pokemon(from a competitive perspective).
if every pokemon is broken, then simultaneously, no pokemon are broken.

Did you accidentally call the Sneasler+Indeedee lead "Sneaslee"? Because I think you did and I think we need to make that a common term.
QOTD: Kid Cudi was my top artist. Cudfam4life
What time (and time zone) do you guys normally go on ladder? Hope to catch you sometime!

Perfect timing after the latest FSG. Just good games, good mons, good gameplay!
