Totally agree - it was a real bummer that Gibson and Fender didn't open their booths to the public. It makes sense that PRS didn't allow public as they were off site in a venue. It just doesn't make sense for Gibson and Fender to take this stance, as they are already known by all the dealers and the public would have promote the heck outta their products if allowed in. Dumb move IMO. The guy on the door at Fender said to me 'were taking things back to the old ways of NAMM. Do come back next year'.... nah mate, I'm good, I'd rather go to Suhr.
Great video! I was really surprised Line 6 did not announce a new wireless system. They recently discontinued the G50 and G90 and only have entry level systems now. I was hoping they would have had something to compete with the Shure GLXD+ that is now using 5G. And I do agree that new Surh looks KILLER!! I dig that quilt top myself. Rock on!
I just returned my Tonex One. I love its size and sound but the editor and all the "hoops" you mentioned were just too much. Turned me off of the pedal. Maybe the new editor will bring me back. However, I found a used Walrus Audio ACS1 at a great price. Bigger than the Tonex One but WAY easier to navigate, in my opinion. It's nice ice and simple...less computer programming and more guitar playing :)
I really agree w you about the Gibson fender thing. I live in a place where the guitar center and other local music shops do not carry high end gear. It’s 100 versions of the cheapest beginner stuff to bedroom musician type stuff. When I want to purchase a piece of higher end gear I can’t go in and touch it or see it. They say I can order it for you. I can order it for myself I wanted to get hands on. The only way I can make any kind of “educated” decision about this stuff is sifting through creator content to try and parse out unbiased feedback. It’s gonna be more and more important moving forward. Imo
Yeah, that's the main reason I ditched my Tonex pedal and went with a Friedman IR-D as the base of my amp-less rig.... editing the Tonex was a frustrating nightmare. I liked the concept for sure, so maybe this upgraded editor will bring me back.
The fart pedal guy is from my neighborhood. Scott Uhl tells the same Vernon story. The Marshall thing was a head scratcher. But the worst was Vegan Pizza was closed for some Moon constellation thing!
As far as the Marshall thing, people are talking doom for it, but the list of music companies owned by PE, just off the top of my head: Guitar Center, Sweetwater, Gibson and Fender. This will only continue as long as all these companies make money.
As for Marshall, a venture capital firm from Hong Kong just bought the majority stake from the headphone making Swedes that's it... Nothing to fuss about actually. Fender belongs to venture capitalists and so many other companies. As long as the family owes more than 20% stakes, nothing noticeable will change imho... I personally think they're killing it with the new modded collection.
@SteveSterlacci I had seen it somewhere recently but you're probably right it may have been from the weekend. My bad I really wasn't sure so probably shouldn't have even posted..lol🤘❤️
Maybe they can make a "retailer only" day for NAMM, that's what the original intent was. I worked in music stores in the 80s, and it was pretty hard to get into the NAMM show unless you were a dealer or distributor. Now, not so much, and I guess it makes it hard to do business like it was before. */done yelling at clouds*
Best NAMM in a long time! Great hangs brother!
Awesome time! Cant wait to do it again

Just wait until you hear the fart pedal in a wet dry rig 🤣🤣
Wet made probably stinks
Shart.

Nice! I haven't tried one uet

If only 5% of all future wah-wah solos are replaced with Fart Pedal solos, Fart Pedal will be a true champion and hero to us all. 🙂

Well, he was with us! Lol scotts got his own silent stage episode coming
I was hoping you were going to mention Fender, none of us were able to get into there either 😐 Still one of the most fun weekends though!
Unfortunately, can only mention them in a negative 😕. I wish i couldve gone in too. Best namm in years regardless
Thanks; I don’t track with all the attention on the fart pedal either…

This will only continue as long as all these companies make money.
I just hope their main focus is making great amps...
@@SteveSterlacci Absolutely, but like Sweetwater, Terry Marshall is still around, so I think things may change when these folks are not longer around.
I found it strange that there weren't many content creators covering Suhr that I saw. All the usual channels I follow didn't have anything.
What's next for the Fart pedal crew? The Belch pedal? The Barf pedal? The Rumbly Tumbly pedal?? Exciting times!
The (Wet) Fart, the Shart, etc

I hope they maintain the trajectory they are currently on for sure. Just seems like strange timing
@@SteveSterlacci This, I agree :)
It was already public that Marshall was already sold before namm
The earliest news and articles i found were from Saturday i believe
@SteveSterlacci I had seen it somewhere recently but you're probably right it may have been from the weekend. My bad I really wasn't sure so probably shouldn't have even posted..lol🤘❤️
@@ericwarrington6650 all good! Lol
Running into me at Line 6. Best or worst? 😂😂😂
You made the vlog! So best!
Feels like either a massive oversight or slight to not mention Friedman's Jose amp. How does that amp not get any mention at all?
Thats not really my lane or interest if I'm being honest. The demos of it sound great though and it seems awesome.
@ all good, thought you were a rock/hard rock player.
He’s got more important things to endorse, like guitar picks.
@PondoSinatra680 what a dumb comment... i say i dont prefer an amp and you try to diminish me like that? Lol
It’s a joke man, relax.
I guess I'm a moron. I prefer the nano MUCH over tonex.
Thats fair too lol I mean for the cost, if you're resistant to going digital. Nano is a perfect solution as well, but is over 4x the price
Did you ever see the cat meow pedal? Just as worthless as the fart pedal but to each their own I suppose haha

Exactly. It used to be industry and dealers, then Sunday was open to public
No mention of the chicken shack??? Unsubscribed!
Fair play. Thats vlog content, but deserves best of California
🤘
I would buy a fart pedal. For I am a simple man who is easily amused.
