Traditional Tebori Tattoos In Japan | Ink Expedition
So my moms half Japanese and about 5 years ago she got one of these tattoos and she very good with pain but this damn near took her soul
😂😂😂😂
Wow she must be tough if she didn’t die from shock of pain
Lol this made me bust out laughing. Hope it turned out great tho.
It looks more painful but it supposed to hurt a lot less than machines
His freehanding is amazing. He just overflowing with raw pure talent. He made it look easy! Their full body tats are so intricate and gorgeous. I wish we had the kind of long history and culture Japan has. Our country is spanking new compared to them. They keep their country so beautiful and show off their country's natural exclusive beauties (like the mountain, koi fish, cherry blossoms, etc).
cuz if yu were born in America yu have no background nd culture we pretty much jus take stuff from other cultures nd turn it to ours america is the indians land really so unless yu from like Mexico or japan or a place like that with pretty much just one culture or specific stuff to that city wat is there to show for unless yur keepin in touch with yur roots nd alot of us dont which is why alot of ppl are so lost
@@Ttgsavii This is why I keep in touch with my roots.
Does anyone know how to contact insider for a story? My mom collects teapots after inheriting her grandmas collection as a teen (13 teapots). She found a note in one which was sent from my grandpa when he was in the Korean war, and ever since she has written who it came from, where it came from (store or country) and year for every teapot. She now has over 1000 teapots, segregated into sections in her house (ex: disney, dancing couples, birds, houses, zoo animals, Chinese blue and white teapots, teapots from other countries etc.). I think it would make an interesting story.

Upvote so they see it
@@anastasiaarmitage forgive me for not knowing, but what does upvote mean and how do I do it?
Up
Nah forget insider I feel like Great Big Story would do a better job of telling your mom’s story
Looks like it hurts 20 times than normal tattooing
Yeah definitely! 😱😨😵
Get a tattoo done by a gun and one done by a tebori tool
U’ll see the difference
Not really!
I heard it actually hurts less because it's not as fast as a machine tattoo needle! But it does look more painful XD
It doesn't
I’m over here like, “ow ow ow ouch ouch OUCH!” lol
Hi ! can I have their contact for tattoo
So why did they send two girls who don’t care about tattoos
Cry.
Logic.
My thoughts exactly ! At least have journalists that have tattoos and a passion for it. Not these two jokers
I love this kind of tattoos. I love Japan's history, culture and biodiversity.
I get that the tattoo was considered criminal. This was years and years....and years..and years...and many moons ago. I don't get it- just let people be themselves in Japan with letting them show tattoos. I honestly think if more people did it and more people came out & not cover their tattoos up, everyone would get used to it.
How About Indian?
@@socratesinferno8328 pretty cool too, but I don't know much about it
Pasta Chocolate well I mean the Yakuza is very still active in Japan
@@boohere2 if you dont understand the culture of it, why would you argue against it
Woah id like to have that but maybe not on head or face tbh
Getting Tebori on your head is one of the most hardcore things I've ever seen in my life
Tattoos are generally stigmatized in japan because in the edo period criminals would be branded with tattoos. these tattoos used a system of lines and markings to indicate what crime they committed. And also because the Yakuza, a Japanese crime organization are known to be heavily tattooed
That looks painful but the cotton candy is so cool
All I see is **stab stab stabby stab**
Stab+stab+stab+stab+stab= ART
I've seen a lot of tattoos but this guy just has the best flow in his art style. I'd kill to have a bodysuit by him.
You guys should check out traditional Borneo Tattoo for Iban People, tattoo is actually one of our cultural heritage it is as fascinating as this kind of tattoo too.
what a handsome artist 😍🥰
I wish someone in my town did tattoos like that lol. His work is incredible 😳
Everything in Asia is on another level.
I’ve wanted my whole body tattooed for the longest time but never knew what to get but now I know I’m going to Japan and getting that
I hope his business doesn't go down because of this video exposure
Why would it?
Probably it will go up 😅
One of the Maori traditions is getting tattoos. It is interesting to know that in ancient Iran, heroes and young athletes did tattoos like the Maori people, which I have explained in the book Discovery of Australia by Iranians and shown ten photos.
Okay but that’s a tall Japanese dude
the hosts are so unnecessary
Daniel Malia libs
No, the volume of the background music is so unnecessary. I can barely hear some people speaking over it.
The ultimate tattooists…awesome.
I like this form because it seem to usually be bigger pierces and it looks better then people who just get a bunch of single pieces around their body
How it would be if he competes on Ink Master lol.
They don’t really say why people can’t go places like the beach or public bathing houses but to tell the people who wanted to know there is a groups of people called the Yakuza and there are several thousand of them and they are basically the mafia and they have huge body tattoos. I just put it in a short way but go search about them if you want to know more.
I love tattoos so much
I dunno about u but the tattooing was kinda hard to watch
It was graphic. Too close up, made my stomach turn.
I disagree
Very interesting to watch
Imagine in slow mo
Amazing!!
Incredible!
Eu gostaria de ter a oportunidade de fazer uma tattoo nesse estilo clássico e tradicional.
The pain...
I can't help but notice those drawz that client is wearing.
Heard it actually hurts less you get poked way more with a machine. It’s just wayyyyyyy faster so looks rough but all tattoos are rough haha always wanted one ❤
偶然このチャンネルに辿り着きました。もしかして、あれは防府天満宮ではないですか?私は防府市出身なので、受験の時、お正月などいろんな時にお参りに行きました。応援しています。
I thought the man was tatooing an ostrich egg
I noticed that one very significant word is missing from this video....
And that word is...
Wait for it...

Tebori Artist: Which body part do you want tattoo?
Me: Head
OK
Badass.
3:23 thats oddly similar to Kiryu's tattoo
irl dragon of dojima
They should have professionals or people who have been studying the art of tattooing host the show. It seems negligible to let these people host
I wanted to read the comment and first thing I saw was this person talking about their moms teapots😂😂😂😂😂😂😇I’m outtttty
I will get a full backpiece japanese traditional tebori tattoo one day..
In Japan tattooing was used by the Yakisoba gang and people would thinking you where a criminal if you had some ink on you.
Can a black dragon like that be done on black skin?
does anyone know what kind of marker he is using at 5:20??
Pentel XFP5F

it's cool but modern tattooing is much better using a machine
Most uncool act when u had the opportunity to get the coolest thjng.
Ouch
Not gonna lie. That looks painful as hell
A couple things not so accurate some bath houses don’t allow tattoos some gyms also but onsen are not bath houses and different and most of them don’t care ones with ryokan hotels are the best for this. Beaches are actually not a no go zone just the business that border them and sections of the beaches that are private most likely won’t want you there. I’m heavily tattooed been all over Japan numerous times and I only had one issue one time. People keep pushing a myth about these things to make tattoos seem cool or outlawish. Also historically the Ainu have and still to this day have tattoos, also lower classes below gov. and samurai were limited to types of clothing they could wear so a lot of people to show of wealth had tattoos. Some lords in some Provence’s used tattoos as a brand for criminals but not all over that’s also a misnomer and a westernism ideal that all of Japan was controlled by one central gov. which wasn’t true. Not hating here just if you go pushing false ideas of these things it gives people visiting Japan the wrong idea and all my experiences with my large amount of tattoos there was nothin but pleasant.
ayyyyy
Tattoo guy is cute! But that type tattooing slow motion on the head made me cringe. 😬Youch!
No
Hello?
I'm from indonesia🇲🇨
Dillion danis has one of those tattos !
There is nothing about Japanese culture that has ever disappointed me
Why they doesn't got Boxers wtf
Ok so I can’t watch this bc the action of the needle rubbing on his thumb over and over makes me cringe
Who ever mixed this need to get fired, sometimes you just can‘t here what they are saying because the music is to loud
