  • Continuous auger piling is a construction technique used for foundation work in building and civil engineering projects. It involves drilling a cylindrical hole in the ground using a continuous flight auger, which is a large drill bit with a helical screw blade. As the auger rotates, it removes soil from the hole, and the excavated material is carried up to the surface by the flights of the auger.

      Before piling soil strata report is created and based on that pile generally end at the rock bed level with a small core cutting in rock about 500 mm

      @@structurepedia So they know in advance about big enough rocks then? And if there are any, the piling has to go somewhere else? You can tell I know nothing about the process, but often want to learn new things.
