The alternator makes A/C current to keep the battery charged. The alternator may be OK and the charge is NOT going into the battery. Do NOT assume that the alternator is failing until it is metered and is proven faulty....

When i drive my car in heavy rain water on the road splash when i ran in to it then battery light is flickering. What the problem of this? Is it the alternator gets wet
Just a guess but maybe the belt gets wet and slips. @@junjungebutan843
Common issue is worn carbon brushes in the alternator. That is the main wear point.
Like literally happened to me this morning had all the signs off failed alternator then acted all normal all off a sudden
Same here and then when I got off work it never turned on and auto store tested battery and alternator and they both tested good

My car is doing the same , my car was working fine and now it’s not my lights and everything still comes on but my car won’t start and is making a clicking sound

@@norahb just had that happen to me tonight on my way to a weekend get away. Managed to get to my friend's house ok but will need to drop it off at a shop tom (on a Sat) but fortunately have someone driving to get me so that we can hit up an event together. Guess we'll see what they find.

Sir. I've tested the alternator by disconnected the -ve battery terminal.Engine still running..that means alternator still charging.The problem is battery indicator light on and off.So far my car battery ok.. engine start ok as well.What's the problems actually?Tqvm
On and off means failing, not yet totally failing, one possible reason is the alternator belt is slipping, or the alternator is about to fail.

@@gerrylopez9060 The charging system is failing, other possibility is the alternator belt is slipping or the alternator is failing.
My battery indicator is coming ON when i ON the AC, air-conditioning in my Nissan sunny car.

Check the wiring. Checkvoltage drop between alternator and battery . Verify the capacity of your alternator against the electrical requirement of your car.

brother i have ford fiesta 1.4 tdci my problem is that whenever i start the car battery warning light comes on the dash but if i fully press the throttle all the way to 5k rpm it starts charging and light , this goes offf , plz help me to solve this issue . this problem started when i changed the battery
Did the new battery the same as the battery intended for your car?

I just replaced battery, alternator, and alternator belt light is still coming on and off
Check the wirings. Do a voltage drop test, we have related videos on how to conduct a voltage drop test between the battery and alternator. Also, check the capacity of your alternator.
Could also be the belt tensioner
Well my i think my alternator is loose because lastnight when i got home my car was working fine , then as i was heading back out to get dinner it start acting funny then it wouldn’t start it just started making a clicking sound , and then next morning i woke up to see if it would start up and it did . Then a house later i went back it started doing the clicking sound again

I have a new battery and alternator however my battery light keeps coming on and off! Autozone said battery and alternator is good so what could it be
Check the wiring, one possible reason is the corrosion in the wiring checks the voltage drop between battery and alternator, we have related videos on this channel on how to check the voltage drop.

I just installed a new alternator last week and now every time I accelerate and the rpm goes over 3, the battery light comes on. I got tested the battery, started and the alternator and they are all good. Does anyone have idea what could be?
Same problem with me it kind of flickers whenever I'm speeding up from a full stop
