    Thanks for the information. I'm in Southern California and as I slowly replace invasive plants with native plants in the yard, I've thought how the texture and size of the non-native iris leaves might be good for weaving. Don't worry, I'll still be weaving with the native rush and willow plants in my "gathering garden". :)

    It's a great idea. I would love to see a demo of the twinning. Do you happen to know the Ghanian basket weaving twinning technique. I believe the baskets are called Bolga baskets. They also weave traditional Bolga hand fans and I am so intrigued about the way these fans in particular are woven. Regards
