What’s the Junior movie about?
The research of Dr. Alex Hesse (Arnold Schwarzenegger from Conan the Barbarian and Terminator), an Austrian scientist working in the United States, is nearing completion, his treatment should finally ensure women safe pregnancies. But the authorities feel that they have waited long enough, and are interrupting funding for the project before it can be tested on humans. Alex was already thinking of returning to Europe when his partner, gynecologist Larry Arbogast (Danny DeVito from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Dumbo), suggested that he check the benefits of his treatment on himself. Alex agrees to place in his abdomen a fertilized egg, stolen by Larry from the stock of Dr. Diana Reddin (Emma Thompson from Dead Again, In the Name of the Father and Late Night), and already named Junior. Now "pregnant", Alex moves in with Larry, whose ex-wife, Angela (Pamela Reed), is also expecting a child ...

Wow this movie was really ahead of it’s time…
I think the point of the movie was showing the results of the statement 'I just wish a man could go through this!', in a sort of what if scenario. I don't think something like this could happen in real life because if there is not womb in which the baby can grow in then I think the placenta would have to attach itself to a vital organ like the intestines. Then it would restrict blood flow to that part of the body and the organ would then die. I still love this movie, but I just don't think it was made for the reason that some people are making it out to be.
