Dona Oxford is my wife's cousin. Been supporting her for 35 years. She is the best out there and deserves to be called one of the greats.
Dona Oxford has great energy and joy. She reminds me of the late great Dorothy Donegan. She is blessed.

Before my Dad passed away he was one of the best pianists in the country. He played for the likes of Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline and many others. We played some gigs for different situations and this was a style he truly excelled at. I played guitar and two of my very best friends played bass and drums. We had a blast. I have not heard anyone play this style of music anywhere as close as Dad could until now. Just fantastic! Brings back some great memories for me but Dona Oxford, you are one talented musician.

We had a sax player in our band...one time while waiting for info on where to set up band...we were sitting in a foyer area where a baby grand piano was sitting...our sax player went over to it and started playing killer stuff as seen here. He was phenomenal! Blew us away! We of course went and bought him a keyboard...he was awesome on the sax too! That was the best band I ever played in...we stayed very busy too!

You should try out Johan Blohm then. He is not as wild, but he is widely held to be one of the best, if not THE best Boogie Woogie players in the world.
I heard that before rock and then never heard it again until the 2020’s. It’s still great! We had a piano and one of my sisters boy friends came over and started playing boogie woogie and blew me away. This was about 1950 .

Incredible! My fingers and wrists were sore just watching her! How she's able to sustain such intensity for 8.5 non-stop minutes is beyond me, but boy can she play! Году в 1964 мы лабали вчетвером пианино, гитара, басуха и ударник в кабаке в таком же темпе похожую композицию и называли это буги-вуги бугешником или квадратом. Заказывали по 5 раз, танцоры падали от усталости. Здесь Дона выдаёт большой класс.

As someone who has loved boogie woogie since the 1940's and began playing it as a teenager (trying my best to imitate Freddy Slack), it is heartening to see and hear young people keeping the genre alive A great performance!
