This makes me to remember when Nigeria was really great. I hope more 'Lijadu Sisters' will arise in due course. I pray for God's infinite blessings on them wherever they are.

It's a good thing that somebody has the time to bring out this old and important musics. I just remember lijadu sister and i typed it in YOUTube search engine. I was happy that somebody has done a good job of posting their music for the new generations to hear and see them. Good job! Oronbaba!

I'm 28. And I was really disappointed when am just hearing about them in 2022????! No one talks about them to my ears ever. At the time you would know that they were really intelligent. Life turns.. And I fell in love with their songs and their intelligence... ❤️❤️❤️

Im currently shocked and I feel really robbed
How am I just knowing this....I wish my generation could learn about the music and culture of past generations, if we had some kind of exposure.

People who were living in the 70s, adults as well as kids knew about them. Because that was their hay days. I was a kid then, and their music was everywhere over the radio and tv especially in Yorubaland like Lagos and Ibadan. Unfortunately they left Nigeria and their stars dimmed, literally.

They didnt relocate abroad. Decca Records was founded in London in 1929. They did stop functioning in Nigeria, but technically the company did continue into the 1990s as Afrodisia and OBEY labels.

Most beautiful women I've ever seen. Why can't all west African and west african-descended women look like them? Slim, fit, with real African hair style, sweet personality while intelligent and rebellious in a beautiful way.... When I want to see Nubian Queens to emulate they are so rare. All the women are bleached trying to look like pale horses with straw hair and beak noses. Black woman, stop copying women from other races. You are naturally perfect as you are

    • @vickynwuche1485

fairs but what does slim/fit have to do with it. African women are diverse and come in all shapes and sizes, even colours.

Jerome Jacobs don't feel robbed. This was when Nigeria use to be a great country. There was light, water, transportation is safe, there was so much respect and people are more disciplined. The armed robbers, then were inexperienced. I remembered when we got robbed by arm robbers they went away with our light bulbs and my granny pot of soup at the middle of the night. It wouldn't have happened in these day and age. Bless 9ja in the 70s up until the mid 80s.

Can't you see the afro hairstyles of the men, the old-school fashion and the simple lifestyles then? Also, can't you see the quality of the commentary that it is old school? Keep on waiting.
