    Chris, you ever install any dry hydrants in the ponds you work on? For folks who don't know, a dry hydrant is basically 6" PVC buried and routed to an area where a fire engine can back in and easily hook to it. They are real nice in places that have limited or no city water service hydrants.

    Chris, that soap you're using on the pile gasket. If you got some crazy dirty cloths, that stuff is better that Landry detergent. I worked pile line for many years, used pant legs to wipes off soapy hands all day, however next wash day super clean!

    If you wanted you drink shaken not stirred that trip back and forward to the cement truck would certainly taken care of it. A suggestion get a swivel for between the double sling and the bucket hook to make it easier to turn and hold the concrete structure in position when setting up as you are always to one side when putting these in, as the saying goes work smarter not harder.

    Chris, does that black drain tube ever collect trash and plug up.? Do you ever put in more than one tube? Thanks we are building a pond in Kansas that collects from 160+ acres. Worried about washing out the dam. I will probably put in a 24" tube or 2 12". We will have emergency spillway with riprap also. Thanks for any info.

    Wonder if the water in the bottom of the man hole made it seem heavier than normal. Water is around 8lbs a gallon and could easily be close to 100 gallons in it. Noticed the water when you were loading it.

    Good Morning Chris , just a thought why couldn't you leave the mixer on the road and hook the concrete over in the bucket closer to the overflow!!, I know somebody would have watch the traffic etc . But it might have been quicker. Anyway Take Care and thank you for the video. :)

    When you dig your ditch for the drain pipe do u have any type of slope for the ditch walls? We have to dig at 1/1 or 1/1.5 or basically a 45° angle on anything over 5' deep. Not trying to be one of those people on internet just a concern I have for you guys to stay safe

    1) wow you guys work smart--I see you had the concrete truck back up past the overhead wire , so you didn't have to do any gymnastics with the bucket when it was full . 2) would anybody here like to discuss the difference between concrete and cement ? I'm told there is a difference, cannot ever remember what it is ! 3) that pond would be AWESOME for sailing remote control sailboats in summertime.
    4) I always wonder what your Uncle thinks of all this "youtube stuff " , if he has ever commented on it at all.........

    • @squirrellyboe7421
      @squirrellyboe7421 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Cement as in portland cement is an ingredient in concrete. It is mixed with aggregate (small rocks) and other things to produce concrete.

    • @SailorAllan
      @SailorAllan 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      OK--so you could use cement as a mortar for stone work , or turn it into concrete with aggregate as a stand alone product. I think I get it--now can I remember it ?.......thanks man.
