HOA, was one of a kind gentleman. He truly loved what he did. Had the pleasure of meeting him in person and talking with him on the phone. I have some HOA memorabilia which I treasure. He was a giant in the radio world, the likes of which will not be duplicated. The song "Time " was written by Sir George Martin exclusively for Herb, what a pleasure that must have been. It remains my #1 song & I listen to it every day. Rest in peace dear friend, you brought pleasure to millions.
Herb was a one of kind individual who possessed so many qualities & is a fine example of somebody who truly loved what he did. I showed this segment to a Professor of Musicology that I know & he was blown away by the fact that Herb was 87 when he sang this along with the fact that he exhibited such power sitting down. He truly was a unique man and is deeply missed.
This was great and also when he sings That Happy Feeling . I love both of these . I've never met this gentleman, but I bet he he is the best . After I have a bad day I can listen to him and just melt away from my pain and troubles . Thank you for sharing this , until recently I had never of him . Have happy feelings .

This guy was fantastic. We used to listen to him back up in NJ, many, many years ago. Great guy, and as far as I know, he is still on the air down here in Florida.
I have on cassette "Hello Again" and "It Was Great While It Happened" given to me by John Miller of THE RECORD MUSEUM IN HOLLYWOOD, FL. He bought out Robie Youngs record collection on 45 RPM.
I remember listening to HOA and in particular, this song ("Time will take you away..."). I was in the process of the breakup of my marriage engagement to my "1st Love"...and my 1st "broken heart". I know that sounds corny, nonetheless it's true. Whenever HOA sang this song, it seemed to soothe my pain. One thing: I've never known the TITLE of the song. Does anybody out there know the Name or Title of this (Time...) song, and any other particulars regarding same? Your help would be so kind and appreciated. Thank you.
