GLASSBLOWING HOW TO | How to Make a Corkscrew Style Marble

Hello and welcome to The Fusing Shop channel. This channel is for people who are interested in learning glassblowing, flameworking, and lampworking basics.
In this video, you'll learn how to make a "corkscrew" style marble. We start this project with two 10 mm glass rods and we form a gather on each of the rods. Then we use our flameworking smashers to smush the gathers into a "lollipop" shape.
Next, you're going to add colors of your choice to the lollipops and fire fuse the two of them together. The color sides get fused together leaving an outer layer of clear around them.
The final step in this lampworking project is to detach one of the glass rods and form the marble into a round sphere with our marble mold.
Put it in the kiln to anneal and you'll have an amazing marble to share with your family, friends, kids, whoever makes you happy!

Lol Mike. The bigger the marbles the more firepower you're gonna need. I think my GTT Mirage can handle 2 inch marbles with the outer fire. Someone correct me if that's wrong. Either way, I've never made a marble that large but I know a bunch of flameworkers that make 1.5 inch marbles.🙀
