Yeah hockey's gonna be in a great spot with McDavid, Matthews, MacKinnon, Svechnikov, etc leading the way, but it's sad my childhood is getting further and further into the rearview

I hope Sid gets at least one more Hart Trophy, Art Ross Trophy, and/or Rocket Richard Trophy before he retires. He may not put up as many points as guys like McDavid, Matthews, Kaprizov, or Draisaitl, but he is proving that he can still kick a lot of ass at his current age.
Without all the concussions and shortened seasons Crosby could have been the 2nd player to score 2000 points. By far the best player of the last 15 years.

What makes this crazy is Crosby is considered an all time great player yet not a single one of his goals this season are high skill goals. All of his goals are just high IQ being in the right place at the right time and making the right play. 31 goals in a season is not a crazy amount by any means but no one can make scoring 30 goals in a season look so damn easy.

Sid statistically had the second best season ever for a 34 year old, only behind Gretzky. Unbelievable he's still playing at this level.
