Over the last few years, Irish phenom Jay FM has been treating listeners to deep-progressive gems that are equal parts cerebral and emotive. *Also featured on "Only Silk 05," the majestic "Running" is a more uptempo and ebullient affair than the more pensive "Obsession." A subtle bassline carries the listener through a variety of resplendent sonic layers, the most striking of which are lush, sensual vocals. Vibrant, trance-influenced chords cascade into the arrangement in the main breakdown, slowing momentarily to usher in more melancholic piano keys. Each of these elements coalesce in the track's climax, causing us to ponder whether we're running from or towards our destiny.
