Michelle, this turned out so pretty. Here's a hint. I use a syringe to fill my chess pieces, fill them about halfway and squeeze out the bubbles. When I want to use rocks around the edges, I put them in and uv them into place. I also use a syringe to fill in the squares. I also squirt each one with 99 percent alcohol.

I have this mold actually and have never used it. This was great for me to see and get ideas. Yours turned out great and I swear if we didn't get bubbles at all we wouldn't be resin artists 😂😂😂. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness

Congrats on 16k subs!🎉 A Chess set looks pretty difficult. Our son and his wife are learning the game and are enjoying playing. So, I may try’n make one for them.. maybe😆 Crazy Glass Lady had a great tip for fused molds. I hadn’t seen this trick before and I’ve watched hundreds of resin videos😂 She put her mold (with the resin piece still in there) in to a container filled with hot water and just let it sit for a while. She took it out while it was still warm and de-molded. It came right out without damaging the mold at all. Thanks for sharing your fun project!

When doing the chess pieces you have to fill them just a little bit and then squeeze all the bubbles out slowly pulling the resin back in without pulling the bubbles back in I made a lot of these and gave them out as Christmas gifts for my grandkids

I’m watching 8hrs after you uploaded and you’re at 16K now! 🥳 I have never used resin (okay, that’s not true…I have used UV resin a couple of times for jewelry repair). But, I love watching you create.
They turned out beautiful Michelle I just wanted to tell you that I have done about 10 of those chessboards and mold. They are a good seller. Also when I do the chess pieces, I spray alcohol down in the mold, squish it around and then kind of dump it out. It helps with the bubbles also, if you hold a flashlight up to them, you can see if you have any bubbles. If you didn’t get them all out of 10 sets, I’ve only had one peace break on me. I have been working in my head on a beach theme board. I’m so happy you shared this I did get a new chessboard mold from craft elements. I’m so excited to try it. I love all your pendants also they’re beautiful. hope you have a wonderful day.
The chess set turned out great! And I agree - I won't be doing another one any time soon! It's very hard with so many parts. I didn't know about the soapy water trick when I made the pieces, either. Fortunately, none of the pieces had any flaws. I think it was because they sat there for days before I got around to unmolding them. Had to get hubby's help 0 they were hard to unmold! 😁

The chess set turned out great! And I agree - I won't be doing another one any time soon! It's very hard with so many parts. I didn't know about the soapy water trick when I made the pieces, either. Fortunately, none of the pieces had any flaws. I think it was because they sat there for days before I got around to unmolding them. Had to get hubby's help 0 they were hard to unmold! 😁
