It was NOT his "brainchild".
I think Bronn WILL eclipse his dad but he hasn’t yet. Rick was earmarked as a world champ on a few occasions, was a top guy in the number 2 promotion for 20 years, multi-time singles and tag champion. Even if he didn’t get a world title run he had a great career and Bronn isn’t there yet.
Maybe some day Elektra Lopez will make the list. Her Dad is former preliminary WWWF Wrestler Steve King, who died in 1998 when Lopez was 6. King was a Frank Willams clone, dependable and loyal jobber/enhancement talent before Wrestling exploded in popularity circa 1984.
The sad thing with Randy is he should have been even bigger. His first reign was mostly dedicated to being in a tag team with Hogan instead of just being its own thing
Hold up, hold up! I was watching Rick Steiner as a tag team champion with Sting and Eddie Gilbert as their manager back in 1987. Steiner had great success with The Varsity Club as well as a singles run during his time with JCP/NWA before teaming with his brother Scott. Nothing against Bron, he has THE IT FACTOR and he will be a World champion. However, at this stage of his young career compared to his father’s career at the same point of his respective career….. Rick Steiner casts a large shadow. Bron has some work to do before he reaches Rick’s level.
Can you imagine how great a stable we could have had if the WWF had Legacy in the late 80's/early 90's? Randy Savage, Curt Henning, & Bret Hart!!! If you wanted a forth, there were a lot to pick from, but I'd choose Kerry Von Erich!
Much of this has to do with the time people are living on as well. An example is ive heard people say wrestling is at a peak like never before. When in reality its not even remotely true. When overall eyes on the product is no where near what it once was. Yet the money many of them make is higher than it was but much of that has to do with the way income inequality has become a wider gap than at almost any time in history.
It's amazing how little you people know about pro wrestling. How the hell do you leave out Hall of Famers like Ted DiBiase, Nick Bockwinkle and Terry &Dory Funk but you put a waste of space like Carmela on the list
Some of these are valid but we gotta remember the time alot of these happened in. WWWF and older WWF wasn't the same machine WWF and WWE became. The first 2 were regional territories, the latter 2 were global juggernauts with branding, licensing, TV studio quality cameras and sets, entire departments dedicated to worldwide marketing, everything.
CatWeasle the UK wrestler was much better than his father. His father was cabbage-patcher and he never really amounted to anything. CatWeasle was an absolute start in UK wrestle during the 70s and 80s.
Man, I fucking miss Bray. I’m glad Bo is carrying on his legacy in such an amazing way so far, but Bray really would’ve tied the entire act together even more than it is now. RIP
Saying Bron has made more progress than Rick makes it seem like the narrator knows nothing about wrestling. Rick kicked butt and created the Steiner line, won the TV championship as a single before Scott arrived.
The Steiner brothers will always be more iconic than Bron Breakker, even though I genuinely like the guy and hope he goes far. Good video, I learnt a few things thanks to you. But you might just have forgotten that Bray Wyatt's grandad was the legendary Blackjack Mulligan. Btw : Yes
Good jobs to the parents it a big sacrifice to go out day after day. Put your body through a lot so the next generation can get better benefits. Nice payday dont matter who the best wrestlers are in good hands right now thx for the old school wrestler building a core fan base keep the money train in motion feed there family etc
Granted I’ve not seen Bron Breaker wrestle but he better be one hell of athlete cuz Rick Steiner one of the most athletic wrestlers of the 90’s! Maybe Scott was a better “performer” but that was about it.
Bron Breakker hasn't eclipsed his dad or uncle. And because of the nature of the current business, he likely never will. He might've been a state champion in high school wrestling, he never was a division 1 All American in wrestling like his dad and uncle did.
Not listed because Sika Anoa'i was a nobody, other than part of the Anoa'i family and that he's a 3-time World Tag Champion (original version) as the Wild Samoans.
@HansenSebastian You MUST be young, because NO ONE that was alive during the 70's and 80's would ever say anything negative about Afi and Sika!!! They legitimately scared everybody, fans AND the wrestlers back then, because if you made them mad, they were going to hurt you! Even during Wrestlemania 31, after Sika thought his son got double crossed for real during the main event, Roman had to keep him from going after Vince backstage.
SPOILER ALERT! 10 Wrestlers are mentioned in this video. The following were NOT any of them: Terry Funk, Dory Funk Jr., Kerry Von Erich, Ted DiBiase, Jake Roberts, Luna Vachon (Poor Luna. She's always overlooked), Bob Orton Jr., Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero, Chavo Guerrero, Alex Wright, Road Dog, Matt Borne (The original Doink) Not even Owen Hart! Well, maybe this can be part two. Who knows?
I love how Bron Breakker is so impressive to people as a "powerhouse", yet is smaller than guys like Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Mr Perfect, Edge, Macho Man, etc. who are considered small. Love to see him across from Drew, Randy, Brock, hell even Jinder Mahal.
@@davidparkes7741 I'm just saying he's the smallest "powerhouse" I've seen and it will be hard to sell that gimmick when he is across the ring from any of the top stars. Not impossible to sell, but hard to believe.
Awesome topic because there's so many that you can't mention em all unless you do over a half an hour video. All due respect to Breakker because he will pass up his dad and uncle both barring something derailing his career but he hasn't passed Rick yet. But holy smokes is that dude oozing "it" whatever "it" is he has plenty of it. I would make the argument even though I don't like him Cody has passed Dusty ahead of Breakker having passed up Rick. I don't buy into what Cody's selling but God bless him he's over af. One guy I would've definitely mentioned that wasn't was Jake the Snake but awesome list on an awesome topic. All great mentions even jumping the gun just a bit on Young Steiner because that dude is the future face of the company as long as he doesn't do anything stupid to screw up what's on the horizon for the next 5 years
Like it's some of these wrestlers fault that the companies don't book them right. Especially during their time. But things are different now that their children are wrestling
You forgot to mention that carmella is also a 4x 24/7 champion and WrestleMania battle royal winner. Also, Raquel is a Dusty Tag Team classic tournament winner.
Good list, but adding Bron Breaker feels like being a prisoner of the moment. Rick Steiner was more legit than you're letting on. If you wanted a hot take, how about Jey Uso? Also, a "Rodriguez Dynasty"? Lol, let's settle down😅 I guess it's nice to have a few girls on the list for inclusion, but surpassing jobber dads isn't exactly a feat. And if it takes spots from The Von Erichs, Guerreros, and Roman friggin Regins, that's a shame.
I never understood even as a kid what made Hogan and warrior so special every one of their matches had the same moves Hogan with his "hulk up", big boot, leg drop
@Zambineaux305 it's when he's getting hit repeatedly and all of the sudden he starts no selling the hits shakes his body like if energy were coming into him and then he points and the guy and says you
Laughable take to think Bron is even remotely on his dad's level as a wrestler - Rick placed 2nd in the Big Ten in 1983 at collegiate level but as a professional he was predominantly used as a tag team wrestler first as a member of the Varsity Club, (alongside Mike Rotunda aka WWF's IRS and father of the late Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas) managed by the late Kevin Sullivan) and then more famously with his younger brother Scott as The Steiners. Arguably The Steiners were one of (if not) the best/toughest bad arse tag teams there has ever been. 11 times World Tag Champs and they were the first team to win World Tag Team Titles in the NWA/WCW, WWF & New Japan promotions. Bron more than likely in time will be seen as the better singles wrestler (if he continues on his current trajectory/push) but for me, technically and visually he isn't a patch on his dad aka the Dog Faced Gremlin.
Anybody with eyes can see, that Bron is a future world champion. He still needs some time on Raw, because he's still rough around the edges, but it's a matter of time and time only.

I also think that the Guerrero family is one of the most underrated families of wrestlers ever, not best but most underrated. Including Chavo Sr.’s amazing run in NWA Hollywood Wrestling area with 15 heavyweight championships there, Mando having 2 championships each in NWA Hollywood and in Hawaii, Héctor having 2 NWA Hollywood Championships, 1 WWC championship in Puerto Rico, & 1 NWA Florida Championship. Lastly even Chavo Jr. was another great cruiserweight in both WCW & WWE with a ECW championship (WWE) under his belt.
Bray is not only the son of IRS/Mike Rotunda he is also the nephew of the Windham Brothers and grandson to Blackjack Mulligan, in which he is better than them all
Better than all them except maybe Barry Windham.
@@pantangela I cannot agree more
Bry is only better then his brother bo Dallas.
Aka uncle howdy
Bray was just something else, he was on top his whole career and even got better! RIP!!
@@ubereats3048 He is better than his uncle Kendall Windham, his dad IRS/Mike Rotunda, and grandfather Blackjack Mulligan as well. But you are right he is better than Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy.
Bron might pass his Father but Please Rick was one of the best tag team champions ever and had a 30+ year career
Rick Steiner has had singles titles as well they are 3 WCW TV titles and 1 WCW US title .

Kaufman coming into wrestling was him doing a show in the South and seeing Lawler wrestle. He loved the theatrics and reached out to Lawler and they set it up. Jarrett absolutely hated the concept and did not want it until he saw how much money he was making on it.
Kaufman and Lawler have both stated this and Jarrett admitted to it in interviews as well.
It was NOT his "brainchild".
David Flair sucked
Yeah I never understood his appeal.
@@movie-mandan he was only there because he's the nature boys sperm.

When the hell were the Varsity club baby faces?
Once he said Varsity Club was babyfaces I can't take him serious. He needs to make a correction
David Flair is the all time greatest. No one takes bumps as awkwardly as him.
Lol
I think Bronn WILL eclipse his dad but he hasn’t yet. Rick was earmarked as a world champ on a few occasions, was a top guy in the number 2 promotion for 20 years, multi-time singles and tag champion. Even if he didn’t get a world title run he had a great career and Bronn isn’t there yet.
Yeah, but did Randy ever have a broken arm for a year and a half?
😂😅😂😅
randy was a third generation superstar that not only outshined both his father & grandfather but totally eclipsed them
Randy is more successful but Cowboy Bob is better in ring
Maybe some day Elektra Lopez will make the list. Her Dad is former preliminary WWWF Wrestler Steve King, who died in 1998 when Lopez was 6. King was a Frank Willams clone, dependable and loyal jobber/enhancement talent before Wrestling exploded in popularity circa 1984.
In my opinion, Bron is just another vince like prototype. I personally don't find his work interesting at all and think he won't really go far.
Dammit I can’t believe I forgot Bray Wyatt (RIP) (father is IRS)
The sad thing with Randy is he should have been even bigger. His first reign was mostly dedicated to being in a tag team with Hogan instead of just being its own thing
he is my fave of all time. ooooooh yeeeeah !
At least Randy is still beloved to this day many people have soured on Hogan due to his lies, politics, and scandals
There's an episode of That 70's Show where the WWWF (i think) came to town and Rockey Johnson was portrayed by The Rock.
A few of these is mostly a matter of the kid having a bigger stage and being in the Right place at the Right time.
The Varsity Club was a heel stable.
The Varsity Club was a heel faction
Hold up, hold up!
I was watching Rick Steiner as a tag team champion with Sting and Eddie Gilbert as their manager back in 1987.
Steiner had great success with The Varsity Club as well as a singles run during his time with JCP/NWA before teaming with his brother Scott.
Nothing against Bron, he has THE IT FACTOR and he will be a World champion.
However, at this stage of his young career compared to his father’s career at the same point of his respective career…..
Rick Steiner casts a large shadow.
Bron has some work to do before he reaches Rick’s level.
I see you REALLY don’t know wrestling outside of WWE!! Rick was a big time singles wrestler before Scott!! Varsity Club was not a babyface team!!
Can you imagine how great a stable we could have had if the WWF had Legacy in the late 80's/early 90's? Randy Savage, Curt Henning, & Bret Hart!!! If you wanted a forth, there were a lot to pick from, but I'd choose Kerry Von Erich!
I think Roman and Cody should also be on this list. As yes Dusty was great. But Cody has accomplished. Roman being obvious
Roman's father and uncle were 20x tag champs. Roman is better as an individual, but not in tag.
Videos like this are why we have so many modern fans spouting nonsense like they're fact when talking about wrestling.
It's amazing how little you people know about pro wrestling. How the hell do you leave out Hall of Famers like Ted DiBiase, Nick Bockwinkle and Terry &Dory Funk but you put a waste of space like Carmela on the list
He only cares about WWE
PUT RESPECT ON CARMELLA’S NAME.
I mean the video seems to be about only blood family & well DiBiase was adopted for one.
@@davidparkes7741 adopted kids should count just as much are other kids.
Unless all them had blood tests to make sure they are .
The 2nd gen that you mentioned are on a whole different level from their parents
Was kinda hoping to see Braun beat Sammy with a steiner recliner
Some of these are valid but we gotta remember the time alot of these happened in. WWWF and older WWF wasn't the same machine WWF and WWE became. The first 2 were regional territories, the latter 2 were global juggernauts with branding, licensing, TV studio quality cameras and sets, entire departments dedicated to worldwide marketing, everything.
CatWeasle the UK wrestler was much better than his father. His father was cabbage-patcher and he never really amounted to anything. CatWeasle was an absolute start in UK wrestle during the 70s and 80s.
Randy is a third generation superstar 😂 not a second
From Orton to Hart to Hennig to Steiner to Van Dale to Gonzalez to Poffo to Jarrett to Johnson and to Rotunda.
Man, I fucking miss Bray. I’m glad Bo is carrying on his legacy in such an amazing way so far, but Bray really would’ve tied the entire act together even more than it is now. RIP
You can’t put Bron on here. He has a long way to go to outshine his dad.
Saying Bron has made more progress than Rick makes it seem like the narrator knows nothing about wrestling. Rick kicked butt and created the Steiner line, won the TV championship as a single before Scott arrived.
Take a shot every time this guy starts a sentence with “hell”
The Steiner brothers will always be more iconic than Bron Breakker, even though I genuinely like the guy and hope he goes far. Good video, I learnt a few things thanks to you. But you might just have forgotten that Bray Wyatt's grandad was the legendary Blackjack Mulligan.
Btw : Yes
Bron just got started let his ass unpack alittle dam 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good jobs to the parents it a big sacrifice to go out day after day. Put your body through a lot so the next generation can get better benefits. Nice payday dont matter who the best wrestlers are in good hands right now thx for the old school wrestler building a core fan base keep the money train in motion feed there family etc
Granted I’ve not seen Bron Breaker wrestle but he better be one hell of athlete cuz Rick Steiner one of the most athletic wrestlers of the 90’s! Maybe Scott was a better “performer” but that was about it.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnndy! What's Good FAM ✌🏻🫡
Happy Sunday bro 👊🏻

Bron Breakker hasn't eclipsed his dad or uncle. And because of the nature of the current business, he likely never will. He might've been a state champion in high school wrestling, he never was a division 1 All American in wrestling like his dad and uncle did.
Scot was man big poppa pump
I found out about Stu just today in this video and i watch wrestling for 20 years.
Man I think bron is awesome BUT Rick was a damn beast, specifically a dog faced gremlin. He was excellent for years and years
Where's Roman Reigns?
The following were NOT any of them:
Terry Funk, Dory Funk Jr., Kerry Von Erich, Ted DiBiase, Jake Roberts, Luna Vachon (Poor Luna. She's always overlooked), Bob Orton Jr., Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero, Chavo Guerrero, Alex Wright, Road Dog, Matt Borne (The original Doink)
Not even Owen Hart!
Right.? I was like why am I taller than him.
@@dantekyle1775 Zack Ryder would dwarf him. I don't get why his gimmick is a powerhouse rather than just a "wrestler" with a great lineage.
I mean, 6ft, 230 lbs isn't exactly small.
RoadDogg is 6'1" 241. So he's a powerhouse?
All great mentions even jumping the gun just a bit on Young Steiner because that dude is the future face of the company as long as he doesn't do anything stupid to screw up what's on the horizon for the next 5 years
Had no idea Beaker was Rick's son. Before I found out, I was like "if Rick Steiner took a shot, it would look like Bron".
This is a great list
The bigger ones with lower profile wrestling fathers remind me a bit of former soccer players like Le Tissier, whose father had a trial with Arsenal.
You could of also had Road Dogg on this list.
Shame we'll never get to see Bray's potential be realized. Hopefully for now, Bo Dallas will be able to carry that torch for him.
Alright dude, settle down with that thumbnail...breaker has been in the business for a cup of coffee
Like it's some of these wrestlers fault that the companies don't book them right. Especially during their time. But things are different now that their children are wrestling
I'm sorry Mike Rotunda was not a baby face in the Varsity club. They were an evil stable managed by Kevin Sullivan.
You forgot to mention that carmella is also a 4x 24/7 champion and WrestleMania battle royal winner.
Also, Raquel is a Dusty Tag Team classic tournament winner.
I can't get over how much brawn breaker looks like his father
Rip Bray Wyatt, Mr Perfect, Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth, Rocky Johnson 😢
#Rip Bray Wyatt
Bron may in time surpass Rick Steiner but he for isn’t there yet. It’s not even a conversation yet.
Natalya Neidhart?
Here's a question: If you think Natalya deserves a spot in this video, can you name all her dad Jim Neidhart's accomplishments?
Third-Generation not second
Jim was a multi time tag champ, member of the most important faction for several years, hall of fame.
Good list, but adding Bron Breaker feels like being a prisoner of the moment. Rick Steiner was more legit than you're letting on. If you wanted a hot take, how about Jey Uso?
Also, a "Rodriguez Dynasty"?
Lol, let's settle down😅
I guess it's nice to have a few girls on the list for inclusion, but surpassing jobber dads isn't exactly a feat. And if it takes spots from The Von Erichs, Guerreros, and Roman friggin Regins, that's a shame.
It’s crazy that the people that are headliners are rarely that talented at mat work
I never understood even as a kid what made Hogan and warrior so special every one of their matches had the same moves Hogan with his "hulk up", big boot, leg drop

Vince McMahon and Natalya also outshined their fathers
Rick Steiner did spend most of his career in a tag team and and his down one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time
Anybody with eyes can see, that Bron is a future world champion. He still needs some time on Raw, because he's still rough around the edges, but it's a matter of time and time only.
