When the word "Chandalar" comes up on the screen both my partner and l automatic get excited knowing that Glen would give an interesting story of his "Life Below Zero"!. He's the best thing on the whole show!
He was living in true wilderness no people for miles and miles and made everything look easy even when he had a struggle

I spent 103 days in south Utah desert with a pocket knife an empty peach can and a compass. I can tell you that eating rabbits lizards frogs and yes rats is not as bad as it sounds. Its very liberating to be able to live off the land. I felt free as a bird. I was only 16 back then. 1989

In our folk tale , it is said that God created all the animals and then he created the porcupine atlast by assembling the leftover pieces of meat of all the animals. So porcupine actually have the taste of many animals. I ate it and it tastes like that . I ate deer, wild bore, birds, monkeys and even up to the wild cats and variety of insect but trust me nothing tastes better the porcupines.

I don't think so. If you live outside of a borough in Alaska you pay no property taxes. There is no state income tax and you don't have to file for federal taxes if you make less than a certain amount. There is a sale tax of course but I don't think he goes to the store a lot. Medical care could be a problem though.
Alaska has no sales tax.
300 dollars a year i believe. ... And they made him tear down his shack and rebuild it. Plus the hunting, trapping, flying, and satellite installation certifications

Same as skinning cow, make an opening with your knive on their belly and slide that knive alongside the hide until you cut it all and toss the hide

They won't. You need a high amount of fat and protein to replace your energy especially in cold environment. Besides, what kind of food for vegan that's out there in the far north? There's no beans, corns, or any other staple food. Well, if they can process pine bark as a foos they can try their luck.
