- 3 tips/steps on how to improve your handwriting and develop a habit writing neater and more legible. I started out with frankly, terrible handwriting, i didn't even show you the worse my handwriting has ever reached. But i saw the value of having neater handwriting especially getting into college, a job, or a having a more professional life you have to have some sort of a neater handwriting. So i hope these tips (that i learned) will help you achieve that goal. good luck, i'm rooting for you!

My handwriting is messy and my aunt said once it's like a Drs,she said that they are thinking too quickly for their hand and I totally agree i think so much faster than I can get my hand to move and it's like my hand just goes heavy and it won't move quick enough for what I want to write,I get impatient with my own hand lol so it goes on strike or the page looks messy I start off neat then it looks like another person has taken over,a sort of Jekyll and Hyde.lol.

WhatwouldPICARDdo Makeitso I think very fast because I’m always thinking of “later not now” so I get off track when writing words because my thought finishes before my words do.
this is what i did to improve my handwriting,
note: before doing this my handwriting was TERRIBLE
i literally couldnt even read my own handwriting
it was that bad.
1. use good pens, i use thin gel pens
2. look up fonts and try to copy them irl
(i mainly looked at the Journal font from DaFont)
3. try to keep ur letters the same size and remember theres a middle point
4. try to keep vertical lines as vertical as possible
5. stop doing 1 stroke, lift up ur pen from the paper it looks better
6. stick to a style, bubbly and round or sharp and spiky
7.dont write so big
8. stop writing so fast
9. stop writing so slow
(dont write so slow that the ink starts building up in the same spot
and ur lines will be very unstraight and wiggly)
10. dont stress over every little thing you did wrong,
everyone makes mistakes
note:you might see instant improvement you might not,
it took me a week to get used of this

When you write "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" make sure to do it in uppercase and lowercase! I get doing it more in lowercase, but you will need to use capital letters sometimes.

What's wrong with your first handwriting
what I would like to know is how slow/ fast people write when they have a pretty handwriting. I can write beautifully if I write fairly slow but especially in school it's really inconvenient. My friends (who write prettier than me in school) take about double the amount of time I do in order to write something. Is that the case with everyone?
and I find the tip with the different utensils sooooo improtant. My handwriting is way better with a gel pen rather than a ballpoint pen although it looks best when I use a pencil which sadly I'm not allowed to use in tests in school.
I also find trying out different colours to write in helpful. I don't know why but I write prettier in blue than black and dark green than blue. My sisters feel the same except for them it's purple.
Janine Meier I find that if you practice or try the fastest you can while still having decent handwriting helps and try to start there while increasing speed as you get used to it. Hope this helps :)

• Find inspiration like him...That's what i did so...
• Find a good pen..I recommend to use gel pen..Not too thick..
• Every Single day take a look of your inspiration's Handwriting and study his/her stroke..you don't need to got it pretty much the same..
• Train yourself to write neatly
• Don't pressure yourself doing it.
• Give yourself a time to train..

Couple of tips: Hand writing neatness has a lot to do with how you use your arm when you write. You should be moving your whole arm rather than having your wrist flat on the table and arm rigid (how I used to write).
Another major factor is controlling the spacing between words. Try and leave an even gap of the letter n between each word.

Hi!! Love your tips for nice handwriting, I've always thought good penmanship is an awesome quality and does say a lot about a person. I'm super curious though, what is that beautiful flower-wreath in your bullet journal (it says "nothing seems possible until its done" in the center)? I mean is it a decal, did you draw it? if you did draw it, what supplies did you use, especially for the wreath itself which looks uberly yummy. The artistic side of me is dying to know! :D

My handwriting is actually pretty good when I try and have the time to make it so. But school makes that hard to do. So what I like to do is take my notes like normal, and if I’m not happy with how they look, I take them home and rewrite them. Not only does it help me study as you have to rewrite everything. Sometimes it takes me several times of reading something to understand it so this really helps me, but it makes all my notes really nice and other people can actually read them if they ask to borrow my notes.
I'm the only girl in my grade with really sloppy hand writing you can barely read :(

I’ve been improving my handwriting for about 2 years and a half. Because I write a lot during school, I can change how I write a letter literally after 1 day XD however one problem that I am running into is my letters are really inconsistent. They look different in different words. However I’m really proud of how far I’ve come! (My old handwriting literally looked like a 2nd grader’s.)
