FRA gets over 800,000 bags of maize

The 55 Commercial farmers contracted by government to grow early maize have so far delivered over eight hundred thousand by 50 kilogramme bags of non GMO maize to the Food Reserve Agency -FRA- storage sites.
This is out of the targeted 2.9 Million by 50 kg bags of maize signed under the deal.
FRA Public Relations Coordinator JOHN CHIPANDWE told ZNBC News that the farmers are confident of meeting the June, 30, 2024 deadline.
And one of the contracted farmers has expressed satisfaction with the prompt payments by the FRA.
