Every time you come up with a new Bible, my wife asks how much.😳 She already knows I am buying one.😂 I have purchased many Bibles thru your links. I hope it helps you. Thanks for the review Pastor. Be encouraged, in Jesus name!
I have the same response from my wife, good thing theres a 40 dlls leathersoft 🤣, i wanted wider margins, but large print, line matched and verse by verse ,i gotta get it
This bible has a lot going for it. I like the verse by verse, references, to me, it’s a bells and whistles bible. Thank you Randy for your time. As I’ve said before, you provided a review that allows us to decide what we’d like to buy, especially if there aren’t any stores with this available bible in stock.
Excellent review! I wonder if TN will ever consider doing a wide margin for the KJV sovereign collection, especially if it is in the leathersoft editions. I personally believe that would a grand slam combination with quality and affordability. No offense for the premium bible market, but there needs to be a "revival" for the general population to explore, purchase, and enjoy affordable, and yet, high quality bibles.
I had a friend who was a leap year baby that is he was born on February 29th. the good thing about it was that he only had a birthday every 4 years so he could always claim to be 20 even when he was 80.
I ordered a Cambridge CONCORD wide margin Bible today even though the print will be smaller. But the way Cambridge does KJV Print is amazing. And I believe I will like it. In calfsplit. So NOT so expensive.
Nelson does a good RED. And their dark comfort PRINT reads better SO larger to ME. Esp with spacing in poetry sections. Part NKJV format but Nelson presents it well also.
Very nice Bible! NKJV is a solid translation. I appreciate all the reviews from this channel. Very informative; however, do you think that you can zoom in even more? I still feel that the camera is still far away as opposed to Bible reviews that I have seen on similar channels. Your website is great though. God bless.
This Bible is well made and has a lot going for. As someone who uses the NKJV as my main Bible, this is really well done. Nevertheless, I still wanted wide margins on both columns. The Bible is large but not overly so, the print is very good. I'm hoping for Thomas Nelson to start separating the translation notes from the references, kind a like Crossway and Schuyler does theirs. It makes the notes easier to find. I have the preaching Bible and some times when I'm looking for a translation note I have to be searching through the references to find it. I get now why they made it this way, but I'd have love to have some more margin room in the gutter. The Canterbury has good inner margins, maybe instead of a 10.5 point font TN could have gone for a 10 point type.
Randy thank you for a great review. While I really dislike red letter, this is a beautiful bible. I ordered it via your link to Christianbook, by the way your link to the regular verse by verse center column ref review is broken. This will replace my 1984 NIV Thompson Chain personal size which I can no longer read, tiny print. When the new Thompson Chain comes out in NKJV (If it ever does) I will buy that for sure, it looks amazing if only they would do it in black letter. Not a fan of NIV anymore. I am officially a NKJV fan now. IMHO, the best translation at the moment for me. Leaves all others in the dust (for me). I do have a Clarion in ESV Goatskin black, which I enjoy reading.
Hi. There are links in the description. Here's the Amazon link: amzn.to/3B6di6h You can also find it here: Christianbook bit.ly/2Q5RjbH Church Source bit.ly/3mYohXg
Beautiful Bible. I wish it was black letter and made in USA or Europe. I would buy it yesterday. But If it was made in USA or Europe I would buy it red or black letter as long as the red is darker than my old Thompson Chain which is super bright.
@@DebbyLong777 I have this bible in the brown leathersoft cover. It does lay flat. As for the "thinking" comment, I am personally a KJVM (King James Version Mainly) I support the KJV due to its Greek Text source, which is the Received Text, and not the NU Greek Text. I personally believe the NKJV is the MOST important version because it shows in the footnotes the alternative renderings from the NU Text. So now you can see the changes if you were to own a different bible besides the KJV.
Do you know where I can find a "NKJV Wide Margin Reference Bible" with ALL white paper edges rather then colored or gold or silver gilded edges? I am looking for all white paper non gilded edges. Thanks!
I own a copy of this Bible. Beautiful bible. However the small gutter margin is very disappointing. Some people have suggested writing sideways with fine pens in the gutter margin - nice thought. Unfortunately, it would be still a very frustrating, tiring and awkward task and in the end you would give up. Sad because for me, it is a waste of a beautiful bible. The other thing is it is a very wide bible and the cover(goat skin in my case) is too floppy and it makes the bible a bit hard to handle.
I believe it is the cost. The cost is cheap in China. Also, please understand that Thomas Nelson is a for-profit Christian wholly owned subsidiary, by HarperCollins Christian Publishing, which is a division by HarperCollins Publishing, which is a division of News Corp., the company that also owns such recognizable brands such as Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Post.
I'm being honest about what I like. You can disagree, but that doesn't make me an advertisement. Attacking me makes you a troll. Did you mean to be a troll?
I received this Bible today as a gift, and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!
This bible does strike a balance with all the wonderful qualities that are presented...beautiful bible!

I like the compromise between the margins, print size and white space. The 10.5 font is so much easier to read and verse by verse preferred.

Thanks Prentiss. I appreciate it very much.
Thanks for the review...I definitely didn't need another one but it's on the way regardless.😀
Great review, as always! Just ordered the black leathersoft.

I’ve had my NKJV large print wide margin in black for only a week and I love it.
Just got this one today. Thanks for the review!
I just Buy NKJV from Amazon! Thank you so much.

Part NKJV format but Nelson presents it well also.
Although the Preaching Bible is 11 pt font, the Wide Margin seems to be bolder font, and to me is easier to read than the preaching Bible.
Thanks for THAT information.
I had planned to buy this but when I was looking I found I already had it in PREMIER.
Nelson IS going great w premier..BIBLES.
Great review
I like that wild margin with introduction
Great review, Randy! I’m having a good time with this Bible 😎
Thank you!!
I cancelled a pre-order on the full Yapp Canterbury for this 🙂
You will love this text. I already ordered one.
@@Pastor-Brettbyfaith I love comfort print 👍
@@joelfields9807 me too pastor, me too! So much easier to read.
I’m getting the purple one

I understand this comment was made a while back, but the NKJV soveriegn wife margin has good sized margins on both sides of the columns.

You can get a NKJV wide margin In 10.5 font. Bigger than most including Cambridge.
That premier collection one, the third one you reviewed, where can I buy it???

10.5 font is good with spacing.

Isn't Nelson 36 gsm Vs 28 for Quentel ?
I just got this one yesterday (7/5/21), but I cannot bring myself to write in it yet.
And it’s not even LEATHER! Haha. Go figure.🤦🏾♀️
Did I hear you right? Evangelical Bible may offer a NKJV Canterbury or were you referring to Thomas Nelson possibly offering a KJV wide margin?
I was referring to the possibility of a Thomas Nelson KJV wide margin.
I think this is the one I am getting. I am leaving the KJVO thinking.
Did you say it lays flat ?

Any info on future plans for kjv?
Do you know what kind of Bible paper they used? The description does not say. Maybe you can ask your associate at Thomas Nelson.
I'm not sure, but I'll ask.

Unfortunately, it isn't available without the gold edges. I'll let them know you're interested, just in case.
will a kjv edition be coming any time soon???
There isn't one planned at the moment, but I hope they make one.
Randy is Nelson planning to publish this Bible in the KJV??
do you have a place to send Bibles to you, for review?
Thanks. What would you like us to review?
10.5 FONT in comfort print IS very legible.
NKJV format may be best extant today.
In nkjv version
I LIKE IT FOR WIDE SPACE. READABILITY. AND BLACK TEXT..I THINK.
Cambridge can get a better "reading look" in THEIR KJV series. JUST using dark and bold PRINT. In even smaller FONTs.
put my name in for drawing for kjv and schylur bibles
I like it.
The wide margin has a lot of white space for readability.

Copy QUENTEL format. Put some margin in. Money in bank.

Very disappointing "wide margin" Bible.
Wide margin?👎
The poetry format is cruddy. It is lumpy and uneven. I want it lined up what. You more like an advertizement then a reviewer.
