  • A ring belt is almost a necessity for any #medieval or #renaissance outfit. However, if you've never worn one, tying the knot to secure it can be a bit tricky. This tutorial guides you on how to tie a secure knot for a ring belt.

    I have a belt that is a little over 5ft long, so when I wrap it I have about 3ft left hanging, so I have to wrap it twice around me then tie it normally, which doesn't look as grand because there is about 4 inches of belt hanging but it still works

    Is he left-handed? I'm confused why the sword is on his right hip. Does it matter which side the ring is on?

    • @MedievalCollectibles
      @MedievalCollectibles  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, the sword is on his right hip for a left-hand draw. It does not matter which side the ring is on. It works either way, whichever you prefer.

    How low should the end of the belt hang? The one I bought is nearly dragging on the floor. Where should I trim it?

    • @MedievalCollectibles
      @MedievalCollectibles  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! The length of the belt will depend a lot on preference, but we often see people wearing these at lengths that fall from mid-thigh to just past the knees. Again, this can really come down to personal comfort and style. Let me know if I can help you further!

      You could swap out the buckle for a ring. However, these types of belts are usually longer than modern style belts.

    Hi I bought a ring belt it has little stitched x cross sections is there a different way you tie these?

    • @MedievalCollectibles
      @MedievalCollectibles  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those ring belts should tie the same way as the ones in the video. Because of the extra leather making those cross sections, the knot might be bulkier than just a flat belt. Feel free to call us with any questions regarding the product! We are int eh office Monday - Friday 9-5 central time. 1-877-637-9673

    • @MedievalCollectibles
      @MedievalCollectibles  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hasashoepugower1691 Great question! As for the belt holding more gear, I would say it would not necessarily hold more. Although depending on the size of the pouches and frog you may be able to have these three items attached to your belt.
