Thank you :) Was wracking my brains. Now my sword belt is secure.
You're welcome! We are glad to help! Now that your belt is secure, you can add more accessories!
Well, I might add a dagger on the right hand side. But I prefer not to clutter the kit too much
Thank you for the tutorial. It seems like it should be obvious but it takes a little practice to get it right.
You're welcome. We are glad it was helpful!
I've watched this video like 30 times EACH TIME I go to an event, and I STILL mess it up so many times, then finally get it, then I'm like "OH YEAH!!!! NOW I REMEMBER!" then the next event I mess it up! Hahaha
We totally relate! But hey, look at it this way! Gives you a reason to keep coming back!
I was looking for really good looking pouches until I saw the one at the end, its perfect.
Thanks for this! Recently purchased a belt like this for my ever growing renaissance costumes and they didnt include any instructions on how to tie it lol
Glad we could help!
Thank you, now i can wear it better
Superb 👍 Funny how it's easy to forget such a simple technique
Thank you! Glad you found the video helpful!
Nice tutorial. I was not aware of the alternative method.
Nunzio, we're glad you liked it!

now i just need a tutorial on how to tie leather bracers.
@leviathan1082 We do have a tutorial on how to tie leather bracers! 😁You can find the video here: tinyurl.com/4vfkmckk
@MedievalCollectibles oh thank you, this will be a big help
I have a belt that is a little over 5ft long, so when I wrap it I have about 3ft left hanging, so I have to wrap it twice around me then tie it normally, which doesn't look as grand because there is about 4 inches of belt hanging but it still works
Thanks man!
they did have belt chapes btw (like a modern belt)
Thanks for sharing this video. 😘
i have exact same sword shown in the video . thats the second time ive had the same sword as someone in a video today
I've been forgetting how to do this for Fair for the last 5 years now, and I work at one lol
We get that! We all need little reminders sometimes!
Stylish asf
Is he left-handed? I'm confused why the sword is on his right hip. Does it matter which side the ring is on?
Hello, the sword is on his right hip for a left-hand draw. It does not matter which side the ring is on. It works either way, whichever you prefer.
I thought it is only worn by thhe Augustinian Friars becuase they have the similar belt
How low should the end of the belt hang? The one I bought is nearly dragging on the floor. Where should I trim it?
Hi! The length of the belt will depend a lot on preference, but we often see people wearing these at lengths that fall from mid-thigh to just past the knees. Again, this can really come down to personal comfort and style. Let me know if I can help you further!
So helpful!!! Omg lol
We're so glad we could help!
oh thanks
Can this be done with just a regular belt? Want to know if I can skip out on buying a ringed one for larp
You could swap out the buckle for a ring. However, these types of belts are usually longer than modern style belts.
@@johan.ohgren i made it work with a modern belt but it could be a bit longer
Hi I bought a ring belt it has little stitched x cross sections is there a different way you tie these?
Those ring belts should tie the same way as the ones in the video. Because of the extra leather making those cross sections, the knot might be bulkier than just a flat belt. @@MedievalCollectibles will this style hold more gear? say sword frog and 2 pouches
@@hasashoepugower1691 Great question! As for the belt holding more gear, I would say it would not necessarily hold more. Although depending on the size of the pouches and frog you may be able to have these three items attached to your belt.
What's that music in the background?
"Always in Motion" by Peter Nickalls
thanks! nice video btw.
wholesome
How mach is it
The Peasants Medieval Ring Belt costs $21. There is a link to the belt in the description box if you are interested in getting it. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
I can’t see with your hand in the way
Good morning! We tried our best to not obscure any part of the process with our hands and make this tutorial easy to follow. We apologize if it was not helpful to you.
Aam satal kana
Are you left handed?
The individual featured in this video is right-handed. They are facing the camera, so the visual appears similarly to if you were looking in the mirror. We hope this helps!

It'd be nice if the hands weren't in the way
When recording tutorials can you please not cover up things with your hands.
