Aww, so glad Wally gets to come inside now! Sad thoughts of Chucky at the same time, though.
I must say, this was so precious seeing Wally, slowly coming to terms and going into your house! It was so precious to me, because it reminded me of Chucky, where she freely came and went. It is so sad to have god's little creatures get old and feeble, just like us old folks become after a certain age. One day in our future, things will change for the better, but for now and today, we do the best we can.
She doesn’t replace Chucky but she certainly helps to see your home with a new friend ❤
I'm glad you persuaded her to come into the house. Now she can eat in peace and enjoy her own personal time with you. She's learning fast about going to the door for you to open it. Very sweet.
It's very easy...just use the door latch the hold the door open, and put a dish right inside the door, and sit beside the food. You have to show her to come in by placing the food bowl just inside the door, then move it slowly closer to where Chucky eats each time she comes in. I trained my chipmunk to come in like this. Of course NO ONE WILL REPLACE OUR DEAR LOVED CHUCKY, GOD BLESS HER❤❤❤❤❤

Aww. So sweet. Wally was never inside but she’s catching on quickly. So glad you all are letting her eat inside since she’s fragile. Watching her at Chucky’s place with her bowls made me tear up. I miss Chucky so much, but I’m happy to see other little ones in the house. You both are kind.

What a wonderful retirement for dear Wally! My heart broke and I cried for several minutes when I learned Chucky wouldn't be returning, but I'm happy to see Wally above all get to be inside. Ever since the video of you holding her hands while she was so very pregnant and getting a well deserved background from you, she has always had my heart.
I am also glad Wally is learning to come in like Chucky did. My heart was broken about Chucky not returning from winter sleep, so sad.

I cried like a baby seeing and listening to Tom's Letter to Chucky vod. Just finding out. I'm in morning and Thanked God for her precious life and sending her love where she is. The way Chucky said good bye her. last month, I noticed how after you guys nursed her back to health how more intimate she became with each of you. I believe she knew she was going to take her last Winter sleep. That's why she lingered long after the others had gone. In hindsight it was so beautiful how she loved on y'all and said so long. God speed to her. Wally is my other beloved Chipmunk. She so deserves the very best. Will savor this new chapter in Wally's precious life as well. God's blessings to you both. I believe animals go to heaven too.
