They destroyed the drones and the cruise missiles that were designed to engage the Israeli defences (Which they did.) but faied to stop the 9 Iranian ballistic missiles which hit the targets they were aimed at. None of the Iranian ballistic missiles were intercepted. This looks, to me at least, more like a "successful attack" than a "defeat".
