I love listening to Paul Sunderland call a game. He truly sets the standard for how watching a volleyball match should SOUND LIKE. Such presence, professionalism, and poise, and energy, and knowledge, intellect, huge sense of humor. Nobody does it better than Paul, for the past 3 decades, literally -- if u can believe that.
I've been (obsessively?) following the NCAA teams for the past few weeks, and I really think it comes down to Stanford and Texas. And they clearly have the strongest outside hitters, in particular. Eggelston and Kipp match-up so closely, as do Skinner and Rubin, or Baird and Phillips. Wisconsin has serious height, but lacking in dynamic/explosive hitters. But Stanford vs Texas should be a real treat to watch.
