For Go The Distance, I placed 2017 because that was the year when she recorded the song, and for Shine, i’m looking for the original arrangement.

Sbi ng iba, ms prefer dw nila ang jennifer holiday version over regine. Ok lang kung natapos dun. Pero pra ipangatwirang panay sigaw dw kasi si Regine. Engot ba sila e ito ngang jennifer version akala ko si cookie monster birit version. Nasan kaya ang kokote. Ok na sana kung preference lng nila ang thick & black (soul) version/tone. Sablay lng mangatwiran.
Bottomline, natural na boses, style, timbre, tunog ni Regine ang gamit pg kinakanta nya yang mga songs na yan. Hindi nya kailangan gayahin (mimic) ang boses o tunog ng original singer.
Yan ang di ginagawa ng young biriteras.
Pag nag cover sila ng kanta ni Regine, tunog regine dn sila. Pg beyonce, tunog beyonce dn. Pag whitney, tunog whitney dn.

Actually shine is really meant for her, pero si ima yung nag perform sa metro pop kasi d ata pwede noon si regine then nung kinanta na ni regine noong 2005 doon na biglang sobrang sikat ng kanta na hanggang ngayon sya ang kilala sa kantang yan.

@@raqicg818 Really? Regine recorded Love Me Again as part of her prizes at Ang Bagong Kampeon in 1984, it was released in 1985 under her name Chona. Jamie Rivera only entered the business in 1987.
smiranda25 RVA released it as a single in 1986 while Jaime Rivera released it as part of her album, Hey, It's Me in 1987. Mas naging hit yung version ni Jaime kaya siguro yun ang natandaan ko. My bad. Anyway, the two singers consider that as their friendship song as they both started in the business almost at the same time.

That was a bad performance of In Your Eyes. The R.Still version (yellow gown) was much better.
I agree. She’s wailing in this version. There are other more heartfelt versions of In Your Eyes.

Holiday et al sound the same. I think most black belters sound almost the same. Very thick, round, has lots of growling (to the point na tunog cookie monster na) and tend to sound yell. Kasi parang normal na sa kanila yun. Thats how they emote, not to mention the overall performance on stage, from hand gestures to facial expressions.
Regine doesnt need those. She has the most expressive voice anyway. Iirapan ka lang nyan. Nkaka wa-poise.

Hindi po. Yung Nyoy Zuñiga original. Konti lang naman original song ni regine na sikat talaga. May dalawang album kasi si regine na puros revival songs. Yung covers ata yun. Kasama dun yung Araw gabi, say thet you love me, minsan lang kita iibigin etc.
