As a huge fan of this show, I would LOVE to see a "how they met" episode! I want to know how cute she mustve been to make a Yakuza give up a life of crime for her. I bet it is a really sweet story.
From the hints of what I've seen of the manga, Miku may have come across a severely injured Tatsu, and stuff happened while she was nursing him back to health. Of course, this is just conjecture on my part, but it would make sense given what's been shown of them together and interactions with Miku's family.
His wife is so underrated. As much as I love Tatsu, I believe one episode focusing mainly on Miku doing her office life while also being a strong tomboy should be there. With Tatsu being a secondary character on the day.
For the people that’s complaining about the animation style and doesn’t know the reason, it’s because the author didn’t want to have a fully animated adaptation of the manga, some scenes are just better or makes more sense in manga style, or a moving picture style.

Spoilers.... During the birthday party, when Tatsu discovered that he'd bought the wrong present, he attempted to cut off a finger as atonement. Miku got so angry at this, that she sent him flying out of the apartment. When she gets angry, even Tatsu is terrified of her.
I find it interesting that Tatsu probably has a lot of trauma from dealing with police, and they still give him trouble despite him going straight, but he supports his wife's love of a police-themed magical girl franchise without complaint.
Toxic masculinity means being insecure and feeling like every little thing like showing love/weakness/emotion is something a man shouldn‘t do, because it threatens said masculinity. Tatsu is still a badass man even in a pink policure apron.
Binged the whole first season today while I'm sick in bed. You can tell he really loves her. I imagine anyone brought back from the brink of despair would be eternally grateful. Seemed like his life was really going downhill, but she offered him a chance at redemption and he took it. Genuinely good storytelling.
tatsu was badly beat up in the alley, miku helps him. in the later parts between the show and their meetup, nothing was really mentioned on how their relationship went. but i like assume that miku helped tatsu. tatsu declares absolute respect to miku as she saved him. miku took tatsu to her house, he stays there for the time being since it is very dangerous for him to come back. in the later parts, miku took interest to tatsu as he is very earnest and down to earth, although he lacks common sense whether which is normal tradition or yakuza tradition. they then went out, and tatsu proved allegiance and trust to miku, they decided to marry each other. as they are married, they adopted the strongest and bravest being in the world, ginko. and then the story starts. but its just a theory tho, a story theory
If this guy has a kid it's gonna be hilarious. If it's a daughter, he's gonna scare all the boys away and if it's a son, he's gonna teach him how to be like him😂

For people who enjoys the plot more than the animation they did there best. Also as a manga reader I also like the atmosphere you dont need to read and invent a sound in your brain. The voice actor and the sound fx will do it for you. That's my opinion I dont care if you dont like it.
As someone who's fallen for this type of style in animating to keep its charm as a manga-esque ordeal, I respect the author so much and appreciate the decision in doing so. It's simple yet to charming and refreshing to watch even if its just all fun. I aim to become a househusband like this legend right here

Aka, “Non stop laughter, and ample meme material.” While it’s animation is very minimal, borderline just colored Manga, the voice acting and character design is absolutely brilliant. The Male lead makes me chuckle like a mad man with his eccentricity.
I love this anime both Tatsu & Miki are perfect for each other, he is truly funny and I see the passion in him when he's excited about anything. He's at his most happiness as a household husband and I can't wait for them to have mini versions of them. 🤣🤣 I do hope there will be more episodes since it's hard to find the manga over here in the UK most websites are blocked.
There's a live action version - you can probably find it online somewhere There's small little character differences (as with all drama adaptations) but I think it was still pretty good even tho I read the manga first
