The seller had a good rating but I kept on checking and noticed negatives popping up on their page for selling knock offs. Somehow they were later able to get rid of their negative feedback. I reported it and tried to get my money back because even the box was completely destroyed! All of a sudden the seller was gone and never got my money back

I actually still have the 18" version of this figure (I mean the legit one) from back when cult classics and movie maniacs did the massive 18" figures.
Very excited that we're finally getting an Ultimate for this guy in a few weeks. By far my favorite Jason design from any of the films, the exposed spin, the way you can see his teeth gnashing and his mouth open as he breaths behind his cracked mask throughout the movie, I just love it. It is the perfect "zombie" Jason interpretation, so I'm very happy the ultimate is releasing. I have a feeling the lack of alternate hands may limit it, but this version of Jason having an ultimate at all is an incredible thing. Also as for the question, I mean yeah if a bootleg is high quality enough I'd buy it, I wouldn't buy a knockoff if it comes nowhere near to as good as the original, but if buying the original figure for super high aftermarket prices won't benefit the company that originally sold it anyways, then yeah, I think it's completely fair to buy a figure of equal quality for a cheaper price.

I recommend checking out KO predator's. They sometimes differ from the original design. They are either darker, or have some bad netting, or sometimes you'll get good netting ect. But one I'd sag to check out is the hornhead KO, other reviews I seen he actually looks a bit different, in a good way though. For some reason he looked closer to his original design in the comic. He was a tiny bit smaller like by a tiny bit but that's one I definitely recommend checking out I also think bootlegs are good in some terms. Sure its a KO but think about it. For example they're may be a very expensive figure that you want but don't have the money for, there's knockoff's. Knockoff figures I'd say are pretty bad in QC. But when it comes to these people making Neca KO's whoever does them really does them well. And its just like getting a real Neca sometimes, you'll either get good paint or sometimes really bad paint apps. In the end you could always touch the figure up yourself you know? But like I said if there's bootlegs of figures that are cheap compared to the scalpers that are raising the price of the original release figures being scalped by sellers who think a certain figure is worth over 200 or 500 so in those cases I feel bootlegs can be appropriate
I love the Zomi-fied version of Jason.I never have any problems with K/O,s of Neca horror figs ,boxed.Great way to avoid paying more than ANY of these figs are worth(never over$25 retail)Toy pirates SUK !
This is actually not bad for being a knock-off Jason Voorhees figure. It's decent enough and affordable enough, to where someone could fork over the $16 and experiment with it. I liked the burned outfit and flesh. The exposed rib cage is a nice touch. With that aside, thanks as always Spot. I really appreciate the continued hard work. Keep it up!
I've had this figure for many years, i always wondered if it was a bootleg because the poster art is from jason goes to hell, which doesn't match the figure. I still love the fig regardless, and mine doesn't have a warped leg, and my mask is symmetrical and well painted. I got it on aliexpress in 2015 for $20 CAD. a ripoff figure but it was worth the purchase, since its been the only part 7 jason I've been able to ever get. Im looking forward to the upcoming ultimate figure from neca
Always thought it was an interesting choice by NECA to give this New Blood Jason what appears to be his gloves from Jason Lives. He didn't have gloves in New Blood. They disappeared at some point between Parts 6 and 7, only to reappear (albeit in black) for Part 8.

I got the bootleg TMNT comic figures of all four turtles and think it was like $40 or $60 for all and it was really good. They pose and stand good and the one I bought has their colour masks on which I don't think ever had a real release from NECA (they only had the version with the red masks on all). Only gripe was they only had katana sleeves for Leonardo, the rest didn't have some type of holster at all. Raphael I was able to just slide it in between his belt I believe but there rest I was out of luck. The original figures had for all four of them though but eh a minor flaw for a really good quality set of figures I felt.
I got the legit one in an antique store for £10. It's missing every weapon but the harpoon looking spear thing. They had it marked as a Mcfarlane Jason but it's got Neca on the sole of his boot. I nabbed it and didn't tell them what they had. By nabbed I mean paid not like nicked him nabbed...
No one should be buying knock offs. However, I can understand why people get them. If we were talking about limited edition/releases of figures then sure, they are going to be few and expensive. But when that´s not the case, unless the makers lost the license for said characters, I don´t get why don´t they produce and sell more of them. There´s an obvious demand for them so just keep making them.
Somehow I found the legit first issue Jason from the cult classics line on eBay for £38.95 ($53.61), except it’s got no box but it does have a machete.
I have this KO jason. Only my jason has both flat feet. Does not need a stand. I was not happy with the paint so did a black wash on it. Good figure for a KO.

I am always surprised by how decent these NECA knock-offs are. I've picked up 2 of the Kenner Aliens homage figures (gorilla and mantis) and they are, as far as I can tell, indiscernable from the legitimate ones (they even came with the comics the originals came with!). Since figures like these are no longer really found in stores, I'd still recommend buying the KOs if you can't get a good price on the real ones. I've heard that the KO Ultimate Chucky, though, is not really good😅
But the original Cult Classics Jason used this mold and the original goes for 200-300, I would like to see the kind of Jason figure you can find for 99 cents Sir lol

I'd buy one to add to my Jason Voorhees figure collection. It's not too bad actually other than the fact that there is zero articulation below the waist
Here's my take (that nobody cares about) Get the knockoffs, why not they still look cool on display, then save up and get the legit figures when you can afford them. Also you can fix these figures up if you have a steady hand and some modeling paint and supplies, they really aren't that bad and will fill the void until you can get the real deal and let's face it the Cult Classics weren't Neca at their best anyway.
Just barely so so at best for this thing but all the real fans out there would know as well as I do the chevron on the mask is a dead give away nough said

I got ripped off with a fake ultimate chucky and paid full price. I repainted because it looked terrible and plain. Came out pretty good
