Transportation rides like this are so undervalued. The train, the Peoplemover, Skyway (RIP). They add a sense of motion to the scenery and offer guests a fun way to take a break from the action. They may not always be the most popular rides, but they are absolutely essential.
I really wish they would put the skybuckets back into Disneyland so you can have the sightline Walt felt was the spirit of progress within Tomorrowland: that at certain points of the day you could see a monorail, a sky bucket, a submarine, a people mover, and the railroad train at the same time. I was hoping after an extensive downtime there would be more plusing. But at the same time, I’m just happy they didn’t redo the tunnels with screens and badly modeled 3D effects we sometimes get on the seasonal castle shows.
@@martidodger7106 I used to work on the Skyway at Magic Kingdom. It was physically exhausting, mechanically a challenge to run, and it caused a lot of problems during stops and weather. But still, I agree with you it was a great ride and I wish it were still there. They could have overhauled it to be more automated, maybe. But even the new gondola system is having a couple collision issues. Still I miss it, you’re right.
Thank you for not taking. Just letting us enjoy it. Glad it's back it's an old friend. But still alot of dark in the tunnels Disney add something to them please miss the glow in the dark stripes on Space Mountain.
I actually kind of love it. When my friends went for the first time, the ride actually stopped in the dark. I told them it was going to drop and they lost it 😂
I am SO HAPPY to see this going again. I missed it so much in January and kept praying everyday it would pop back on. So much nostalgia and memories on it.
I have never felt so much nostalgia for something I have never experienced. I'm too far from Florida and California's PeopleMover was before my time....RIP.
@@CyberSonic157 it’s nice slow ride to relax and take in all the sights and sounds of Tomorrowland. There’s something nostalgic and peaceful about people mover. I love riding it in the morning and at night.
No high five moment? The high five moment was the best, when I was on a train by myself, and as the other train approached, I extended my arm to smack fives. Everybody on my side of the other train stuck their arms out but at the last second, I pulled back in. The resounding boos, I received, were hilarious.
Thank you for the great video!!! Of course we missed the ride by a week!!! O well, only 47 days to go!! Love the channel, thank you for always bringing great content😊
Finally. Josh, you can relax now. ;). Still wait in hope for west coast redux of the mover (tapping foot). “She’s about a mover. Hey, hey, hey. “. Sir Douglas quintet.
It’s very ironic that as your passing carousel of progress the other theme to that attraction Now Is The Time is playing in the Tomorrowland area music loop.
25 for me, and I’m so excited to ride this again too. And I’m thinking about playing some fitting music on my phone for when it goes into Space Mountain
Interesting. I've been on the Anaheim Peoplemover dozens of times so I know it by heart. First time I've seen the Orlando one. I guess it doesn't nee the parasol because it runs under awnings and covered bridges. One thing they should import from the CA park, a Stormtrooper and some merch in the alcove before the Star Trader. Maybe even put him in a tourist shirt.
I appreciate this video because when I went last February the PeopleMover was offline. It doesn't look like I was missing too much though. I thought there were more dioramas and display scenes throughout it's indoor path. Hadn't been back in over 28 years. It did show the state tomorrowland is in and I am not liking the paint job rn. Is it in transition? Looking forward to TRON and a Tomorrowland revitalization.
Glad to see it back up and operational. Also, loving the new...old, retro look of Tomorrowland, if that makes sense. I always enjoyed the clean white pillars and oval signage everywhere.
Man I can already feel the jealousy coming from Anaheim since we didn’t only get a people mover refurbishment but the entirety of Tomorrowland has been slowly updating from the metal 90s look to the 60s retro futuristic look with the color pallet and pristine look
Glad to see Florida got its people mover back. But I’m still not happy because they took down Disneyland people mover and sent it to Florida and haven’t be built ours. That ride will always be my favorite. But I’m happy for the east coasters. Bye from Oregon
I don't understand why it took so long to reopen? Nothing has changed, same voice-over, same scenes, so why was it down for the past few months while all the other rides were open?
Before covid cars were crashing into each other injuring a couple of riders. They needed to prevent this so they put in a new track system. However when the new rack system arrived it wasn’t working with older parts so more delays and then during new testing in January the cars were still crashing into each other. So they had to work out all the bugs
Disney would never since it wouldn't draw in the crowds relative to the investment costs but I wish they could find a way to add track that takes the Peoplemover into the Tron show building, that'd be amazing
A little bit yes. It’s nice to get off your feet for a bit, the scenery is great, the tunnels have A/C and you can have some space between you other guests.
When I was a kid at disneyland the way the cars were on the people mover and the dark spots was fun to make out in. About the only nostalgia about it for me.
This is a favorite attraction for me. However, other than new pylons, a view of a skeleton of a ride that may not open soon, and mourning over the demise of the WDW Railroad, I don't see much "renovation." Perhaps it was all mechanical.

It’s possible that the camera couldn’t pick up the glow in the dark effects.
I’m glad that the TTA PeopleMover is now back open after being closed for over a year!
The PeopleMover is back!!!
Hoping to get to ride when we're there next week. I really missed it our last couple of trips. Thanks for brightening my Sunday!
I have never felt so much nostalgia for something I have never experienced.
I'm too far from Florida and California's PeopleMover was before my time....RIP.
I’m so happy the Peoplemover is back!!!!
I’m so happy that it’s finally open!! can’t wait to ride it next time 🥰
It really is a great big beautiful tomorrow.
They even kept the squeaking escalators!
So so happy to see PeopleMOver up and running again after such a long time! Looking fwd to riding it in November! Thank you for the video! :-)
I love when it goes through space mountain. So glad it is back up and running ❤️
Rejoice! My favorite ride period
I'm curious as to why it makes so many people's top 3 lists. What's so great about it? It's just sitting in a vehicle.
@@CyberSonic157 it’s nice slow ride to relax and take in all the sights and sounds of Tomorrowland. There’s something nostalgic and peaceful about people mover. I love riding it in the morning and at night.
Don't say that!! Disney might destroy this next if they know it's well-loved.
@@CyberSonic157 one of my favorites too, so many memories
So glad to see this back open! Thank you for the video!
Anyone else think they should revive the Tron Tunnel when the Lightcycle ride opens?
I preferred its predecessor, the Super Speed Tunnel...
love this ride! so happy to see it back in action!
Anyone else notice that they played both themes of the Carousel of Progress during the ride on the Peoplemover? I did
Yep - definitely noticed that.
We missed this when we were there in October ☹️. Hopefully we can go on it next time.
The line for the people mover often isn’t long but considering that this ride has been closed for over a year, I bet the lines are gonna be bananas
I went in February 2020 and there was a fairly long line to get on then. Its popularity has increased in recent years.
No high five moment? The high five moment was the best, when I was on a train by myself, and as the other train approached, I extended my arm to smack fives. Finally you guys can now get on the people mover after being out of action for a year and a few months
Was so good to experience this virtually! LOVE the quality of this 🙌🏻 Amazing job! 💖
In words of Buff from Country Bear Jamboree: “Well it’s about time!” 😁
🤣🤣🤣
Yep!
YAY THE PEOPLEMOVER IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly one of the best
amazing how it is integrated into the other buildings. I was on it at least once but forgot that
I missed riding this in January, I did not however, miss the crowds, it was empty and I loved every minute of it!!
Thank you! I miss this ride and this place! I needed that!
Who are the 5 people who dislike this? I just want to talk to you all for a min. 🤣
the people from California are Jelouse.
It was probably the people who got evacuated from it today.
Or the People that visited Disneyworld within weeks before the People Mover opened. Such as myself
@@Perich29 lol
right! this is one of my favorite rides at disney😅
Thank you for posting this ride through!
i love how the announcement was saying the speedway is fast when the people mover was actually moving faster than a number of those cars 😁
Thanks, we needed this!
aww i haven't been on that ride here in SoCal since 95, im so happy !!!

36 days until Disney, so glad I will get to ride Peoplemover once again.
25 for me, and I’m so excited to ride this again too. And I’m thinking about playing some fitting music on my phone for when it goes into Space Mountain

It's open! And it's not a Rocket Rods!
Woo hoo! The People mover is back!
As wonderful as I remember 🥰👍😁
wow, thank you :D imagine this when Tron is complete and lit up !! amazing!! :D
Oh how I miss the 60 cycle hum of the People Mover!

It's open again! Excellent!
Brings back many memories, during my maintenance days.
People in Orlando: Yay PeopleMover is finally back after a year, it took them way too long!
People in Anaheim: Am i a joke to you?
Glad to see it back up and operational. Also, loving the new...old, retro look of Tomorrowland, if that makes sense. I always enjoyed the clean white pillars and oval signage everywhere.
Yay one of my favorite rides!
That was Awesome!!
Thanks beautiful srteam
So glad it's back! Though I'm a little sad that it had to reopen right after my trip to Disney ha ha
Was anything updated or refurbished? I can’t tell, I don’t go that often unfortunately
No, nothing major
Yeah I will get to ride it Wednesday
Perfect video! Thanks
If I extended my stay 1 more day I would have been on those, oh well, will have to wait till August.
can't wait to ride this in July
As a lil kid i did think this was the space mountain ride.
I hear bang, bang, bang!!! I don’t remember the Wedway being noisy?
Man I can already feel the jealousy coming from Anaheim since we didn’t only get a people mover refurbishment but the entirety of Tomorrowland has been slowly updating from the metal 90s look to the 60s retro futuristic look with the color pallet and pristine look
My predictions of the next things they are gonna update is carousel of progress and the entrance to space mountain
Finnaly back

does the People Mover make stops like the Disneyland train? or is it just one big loop with one stop?
It's just one loop with a stop
I must have just missed it 😭 I was there on april 24th and it was closed
this just makes me happy
What was there before where the new rollercoaster is going in?
Just backstage I think 🤔
Damnit. Missed it by one week!
Why was this closed for so long ? Doesn’t seem like there was much change ..
@5:07 the Future "Tron" coaster?
Yep.
Love the people mover!
FINALLY. The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleBumper has reopened!
It's not called the people bumper! 😁😄
@@Ariel_Alcazar.34 haha I know. I just called it that on WDWNT video where it showed them crashing into each other while testing lol

🚎🚎🚎🚎💨 Chugga!!
Finally after 15 months
Wait a minute!!! What happened to the splash mountain scene?????
That's on the Disney World railroad a different attraction. It's closed during the construction of Tron.
We don't have people mover anymore at Disneyland 😭 miss it so much!!!
Im sorry
Bring it back to Disneyland!

Nice!
I miss this being at Disneyland.
One more week and I’m on this ❤️💯
They brought back Progress City! I thought that was lost to time.
I'm surprised that during the refurbishment, they didn't remove the steampunk future scenes for new ones
The thrill is real!
Is it just me or is the sound of the wheels on the track louder than before?
that's what i was thinking, but i haven't been on the ride on so long, maybe it was always like that?
It might be a little louder. It’s what had to be redone
Finally!
It’s seems normal!
It's back! I'm on my way...
Cracks me up how much money people will spend to stand in lines.
Why are people so obsessed with this ride? Is it just nostalgia?

I hope carousel gets a little tlc next.
