The Yamaha RX100 was the go-to bike for two-wheeler enthusiasts back in the 80’s and early-90s. Back then, the Yamaha RX100 not only set a benchmark for two-stroke motorcycles but also single-handedly changed people’s perspective towards motorcycling.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and the company kept manufacturing it until March 1996. The government’s decision to pull the plug on all two-stroke motorcycles ended of the Yamaha RX100's reign in India. But the success story carries on even today
The RX100 was the result of Yamaha going back to the drawing room after the RD350 failed to light up the market. But even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated the outcome of their radical approach, making the Yamaha RX100 the legend it is today. The best example of this is that enthusiasts are still willing to handover hefty amounts of money in order to own a well-maintained example of the RX100.
The Yamaha RX100 was powered by an air-cooled, 98cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke motor that produced 11PS @ 7500rpm. Power was sent to the rear wheel via a 4-speed gearbox. The company also claimed a 0-60kmph time of 7.5 seconds. Furthermore, the Yamaha RX100 was not only reliable but affordable as well, making it accessible to many. The performance and reliability factor made it a winner in the eyes of enthusiasts. In fact, the Yamaha RX100 became one of India’s best-selling two-stroke machines, until it was replaced with the RX-G.
The part that makes us spring with joy are the rumours of Yamaha reviving the RX100, but with a four-stroke engine instead. However, our excitement levels have dimmed down as there has been no official confirmation from Yamaha as of yet. So, till we get a solid confirmation on its comeback, we can only wait and anticipate that the RX100 will once again revolutionise the Indian two-wheeler commuter segment. glad to hear that. buy it only if you are passionate to ride one, if proper care is not taken then the bike can give you real trouble fixing it.

Is the bore from the DT175 ? Is it a direct fit for Indian RX ?
@@puneethsalian909 Well, I partly agree with you since he didn't show the sides of the engine block to reveal it's code, so we can't trust him on this.
But I have heard people modding old DT175 parts from South East Asia to the Indian RX Crankcase studs. Or yeah, like you said, he'd have gotten a tuner to to remove the factory sleeve, bore the hell out of the cylinder and plonk the DT's sleeve ? Again, I'm not sure if the ports can be replicated on the block as per the sleeve so I partly agree with you.

Bro 175 cc kahamse normal stock cylinder 132cc hotha hai jab ham next size pisto keliye bore karthe hai tho micronze me thiknes cutha hai iss prakar last bore karnee per bhi 175 cc nahi bantha is liye cc kam writen hota hai har bike per jase 98cc for rx100 iska mastlab last bore par 100cc banega uske bath new cyldr ya sleave dalna padtha hai.

Elaborate how 135CC is converted to 175CC. I am also having a RX135 2001 model catalytic silencer. The condition is same as these RX but fully unrestored apart from Chain kit and ball racer.

If you need to convert your 135 to 175 then you need to port the block which includes transfer ports exhaust port then need to do jetting and little more work in engine

@@sachinsridharan99 bro the vehicle was restored from scrap so every part on the bike is brand new. Spent 75k just for the engine build. Almost 1L plus. I met with accident as well after 2k KMs luckily broke my wrist llol thereafter installed disc brakes.
