Cameron Hodge was the PR guy for the original X-Factor,who was revealed to be the leader of the mutant hating group,”The Right”. He made a deal with the demon Nastrith during Inferno. This gives him the guts to finally go after Warren Worthington by killing his longtime girlfriend,Candy Southern,and Archangel chopped off his head in that battle,and that’s how he ends up in this cyborg body. He comes back again as a member of The Phalanx. He really was immortal.At least his head.🤷🏾♂️
Cameron Hodge was Angel's College roommate and they became Friends . In College Angel grow his Wings and Cameron was planning to make him and X Factor to look bad , Angel Wings got hurt and Hodge knew if Angel couldh't fly anymore it would destory him so he had his wings removed.Then Apocalypse gives Angel the Metal Wings making him the Horseman Death.

Yeah, I love to see this stuff again through David's moist eyes (wet with tears of joy about all the cool stuff in these stories that people may have taken for granted or overlooked). Now that so much stuff seems to "suck", these older stories are getting another chance at being entertaining all over again!

@@aFoxyFox. I've been reading a lot of crossovers and multiple issue story arcs lately. I've been going from oldest to newest. I recently finished the 4 part Wolverine miniseries (Claremont/Miller). I am just about to complete Secret Wars 1. Next on my list is the entire Secret Wars 2 arc. That includes all of the crossover issues, not just the Secret Wars 2 books. These Spiderman arcs are on my list: Maximum Carnage, Return of the Sinister Six, Revenge of the Sinister Six. The X-men, Uncanny X-men, X-Factor, X-Force crossover X-Cutioner's Song is another i plan on re-reading. The Spiderman series crossover, Maximum Carnage, is one I'm really looking forward to....because i started collecting the issues as a kid when they first came out. Then i quit collecting and when i started collecting as an adult 4 years ago, i completed the run. Those are the ones I'm doing first. I plan on reading the X-tinction Agenda as well as soon as i get the book I'm missing. I'd like to score copies (reader copies) of the Kree-Skrull war from Avengers issues 89-97.

Excellent story choice, though, YES, a bit drawn out at times... Nicely done, in spite of not being too familiar with one of THE best eras of the X-Books.
(In general, I'd recommend 'Uncanny' issues circa #150+ through about MAYBE 300-ish... "New Mutants" from like 40's UP to 100, when they become "X-Force", and "X-Force" #1-25 or 50 maybe... "X-Factor" (v1) from around 15-20 UP to about 74(?), and then "X-Factor" (v2) from 75(?) through 100-125 or so, maybe... Then Jim Lee "X-Men" #1-50 or 100 maybe.) I don't really recall EXACTLY where each of the respective titles dropped the metaphorical "ball", causing my loss of interest, but these are rough estimates, just in case you'd LIKE to read some GOOD X-Books before they all got thoroughly polluted and irrevocably corrupted, thanks to power hungry Joe Quesada's abject bull$#!t. It was right about THAT time period when they ALL became toilet 🚽 water, fit for @$$wiping & flushing ONLY. 🤔🙄😑😑😑
A minor point or two though:
1) Rhane is pronounced "Rayne", like rain, not "Ron". Forgivable if you haven't read the original New Mutants series...
2) Cable came back in time to eliminate "Stryfe", not Apocalypse... Originally, anyway... Also, that's comics. I can't say about the cartoon, since I couldn't stand watching past the first 2 episodes. (The voice acting was HORRID!!!😵😵😵) Bishop, however, didn't know WHO the hell HE came back in time (With Randall & Malcolm of the XSE) to kill... But it was somebody!!! Amazingly he knew everything else...?!! Hmmmm...🤔🤔🤔🙄🙄🙄
Speaking of Stryfe, I know I'm not a Patreon guy, BUT... "Executioner's Song" is another significant X-Crossover story... Hint hint!
As far as X-Men villains go... I think I probably hate Cameron Hodge as a character, more than ANY other X-Villain I can think of at the moment...🤔 Hated him as a human. Loved it when Archangel sliced him with his wings, decapitating the bastard, BUT no thanks to Inferno, I knew he'd be back, since they chose NOT to: A) Either drop his smirking @$$faced head into molten lava, OR a vat of acid, OR B) Transport it directly into the Sun, after letting Wolverine give him a "3 claw pop" lobotomy FIRST. He CAN die, it's just not easy to achieve UNLESS you utilize a little creative thinking!😉
But yeah... Hate that bastard. He's just NOT even a good character/villain, he sucks as a character, has no depth, he's just "Oh, look at me! I'm a fruitcake with crazy robo-demon powers, that let me do anything I can think of...!"

Haha, I just went down a weird rabbit hole, or horse hole in this case. So, Todd Holland (whose name I enjoy because of "Tom Holland" and possibly even "Todd McFarlane") mentioned N'astirh. I had mentioned various figures that could possibly work to represent N'astirh's horse head and was thinking of horse heads, and I also posted a link to a song called Ça Plane Pour Moi by Plastic Bertrand, though the performance of the vocals was by Lou Deprijck (Lou The Prick?):

It made me afraid for the future of this channel haha, but it shouldn't feel like stagnation as long as it is used as the basis for a lot of creative exploration and expansion. I think Craig Ferguson's show did a lot of experimental stuff that the other late night talk shows don't do or haven't done. I really dislike the very "fake" seeming shows and hosts, particularly Jimmy Fallon, and the color scheme of shows like Graham Norton's dystopian looking show lol.

It seems there were ideas floating around for a while, which some of these other writers and designers may have had access to, which led them in the direction of associating cyborgs with insects, also due to the word "exo-skeleton" which also leads to the "robot skeleton" idea. Haha, it is really fun for me to follow these weird chains of things.
Super7 is releasing their new "The Worst" wave 2, after Wave 1's Captain Deadstar (which can work as "Captain Bone'to'pick" as mentioned jokingly in the Mr. Plinkett review where he calls General Grievous, General Grievance), with a Robot Grim Reaper for those interested in Robot Skeleton Figures like the Terminator.
The kind of free and experimental and celebratory "vibe" of this channel resembles in some ways the Craig Ferguson Show and maybe elements of Conan O'Brien's show as well, and Conan O'Brien has been making an appearance commonly at the beginning of episodes with the "Crack a Beer" moment with Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Speaking of Skeletons and Stone Cold Steve Austin, I received my WWE Zombies Triple H with crown which looks better in person to me than in photos and is very tall, making for a pretty cool figure that can work in multiple settings and scenes, even possibly stretching into use in Science Fiction scenes or as a Sith Lord or Sith Ghost or something, but otherwise as a potential foe for characters like Ghost Rider and Dr. Strange and even Spider-Man and others. They have a version of WWE Zombie Stone Cold Steve Austin who seems to maybe take some inspiration from the Ghost Rider, with smoke coming out of the eyes of the figure, but I haven't purchased that one just yet, but I might, considering how much I'm enjoying this WWE Zombies Triple H with crown figure, which goes well with various other skull headed figures, like Master's Of The Universe Classics Skeletor and Mythic Legions Kronnaw.

Who reminds me a bit of Klytus from the Flash Gordon film: pre00.deviantart.net/a9e5/th/pre/i/2016/073/4/e/klytus__flash_gordon__by_soulstryder210-d9v2zhl.jpg played somewhat secretly by a mostly blacklisted Peter Wyngarde (Marvel's own Jason Wyngarde, as well as the likely inspiration for Sebastian Shaw as well).
If the figure had looked like the artwork, or even more like Klytus, I would have been much more likely to purchase it, but for a metal headed figure, I'll be getting the Super7 Destro instead, who looked a lot better in a video showcasing him than in their advertising artwork which showed the flesh color looking extremely plastic-like, whereas it is much more normal in the actual video (which also shows the Flint and Lady Jaye who can work as Star Wars Rebels and Genoshan troops as well):

I don't know if you're finding that you have enough time these days to really get absorbed with exploring all these tangents and things, but looking at toys, and reading about weird things from the past, can be a whole lot of fun and occupy the mind and the imagination throughout the day, I find it really inspiring too. It also seems best or better when it might keep one from spending money, but in many cases it also seems to lead me to spending money! Especially if I discover something else cool to have around as a regular reminder.
The latest ones I've been after are "Hush" things, but now I'll be looking for Klytus quickly, I'm pretty sure some company, maybe Bif Bang Pow i.ebayimg.com/images/g/Hc8AAOSwZe5hxQ2U/s-l1600.jpg produced some kind of McFarlane-esque or Diamond Select-esque or NECA-esque looking figures. Oh yeah, and that whole thing seems to tie back to "Gay Robots" lol, since Klytus is played by Peter Wyngarde, who was a "sex symbol" apparently who was blacklisted due to his homosexuality at the time, so that he was shy to make a very clear or opened appearance by the time he played Klytus who appears to be a robot or a cyborg or something like that possibly, but might just be a gay (or gayish) guy in a golden mask, which then ties back to the famously gayish seeming C-3PO, who I've considered getting the Mafex version of due to how nice it seems to look (and I think it also comes packaged with an R2-D2), but I'm much more interested in the Hush figure. The problem with that though, is that it would charge me immediately, so I'm seeing if I can hold off until the time arrives for the Mafex Darth Vader to finally ship in around 3 months time. I might purchase it next month though just to secure it.
The Hush figures, for me, will be used as either a single character or a faction of bandaged faced Star Wars aliens or figures (alternatively, they will also work as several other figures, such as the Invisible Man, Dark Man who Liam Neeson played, and a character or two of my own from a contemporary setting, and also Batman's Hush, but also numerous other possibilities and fun things to make out of the McFarlane and Mafex Hush figures, including Replicants or things for a Blade Runner type setting and Cyberpunk type settings, they are for me, pretty hugely exciting characters. They can even work as a better (for my tastes anyway) design of the Rurouni Kenshin villain Shishio Makoto, who was inspired by The Inugami Family film from 1976 which also likely was part of the inspiration for Halloween (the John Carpenter film and design, particularly the mask idea and its appearance) which had a large part of its inspiration drawn from West World, which happens to be about robots with robot skeletons! Loops within loops leading to loops!

A landlocked nation, Rhodesia was bordered by South Africa to the south, Bechuanaland (later Botswana) to the southwest, Zambia (formerly Northern Rhodesia) to the northwest, and Mozambique (a Portuguese province until 1975) to the east. From 1965 to 1979, Rhodesia was one of two independent states on the African continent governed by a white minority of European descent and culture, the other being South Africa.
The rapid decolonisation of Africa in the late 1950s and early 1960s alarmed a significant proportion of Southern Rhodesia's white population. In an effort to delay the transition to black majority rule, the predominantly white Southern Rhodesian government issued its own Unilateral Declaration of Independence (UDI) from the United Kingdom on 11 November 1965. So, for the Genoshan soldiers, Super7's new G.I. Joe Flint and Lady Jaye could work, as well as possibly Hasbro's including also some of the green figures made for G.I. Joe Classified. The New Stalker figure might work, but it appears the Genoshan's are maybe supposed to be depicted largely as white South Africans (Boers) and Soldier's of Fortune from various places.

I think that Genosha, was most specifically inspired by Rhodesia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhodesia which was full of mercenaries and Soldiers of Fortune, and may have also inspired the early stories of Metal Gear Solid from the games before the famous Playstation game.

Still, it is possible that a character like Stalker might have worked with them (if one was trying to find figures that might work to play the military figures of Genosha). I really like their designs and would like to see more figures like that in general. Some Valaverse figures might work also. Cameron Hodge, in some ways, reminds me of Albert Wesker from Resident Evil, though the latter is usually more calm seeming, such as in this cameo:

Ultra "Anti-Commies" like "Nuke" and U.S.Agent and others make for some great villains in my opinion, where "patriotism" as an excuse to justify or cover up "bloodlust" and an escape from the humdrum and frustrated decline that was visibly occurring across the world at the time, and in this case, "Anti-Mutant" sentiments, make for some really interesting and horrible sorts of villains.

But getting there had been tough. After a few setbacks, more than six months after leaving the Legion, the two Brits finally made it to Salisbury in 1979. There they met up with the Vietnam veteran and commander of the Rhodesian Armored Car Regiment, Major Darrell Winkler. Winkler had joined the Ian Smith Army the year before after a Rhodesian he had met in New York convinced him to go fight the commie-backed terrorists in his embattled country. Why not? Winkler had fought the commies in Nam for two and a half years and that was just unfinished business.
Meanwhile, back in the States, another American-a frustrated crusader, Michael Peirce (Reb), was hell bent on joining some military and fighting some commies somewhere. He had not had a chance to fight the evil empire as an American soldier.
“I was playing and writing music in Hollywood. The Yankee Army had turned me down (according to them, blind in left eye). I had pulled off some pretty cool stuff in LA and developed delusions of grandeur, deciding I could take some time off and go fight for people whom I thought were worth fighting for. I traded my bass guitar for a light machine gun,” Pierce told me."
A lot of weird "Hollywood" types also went simply to kill people for fun and for free, and that is probably why the character of the "President of Genosha" was designed to look like Ronald Reagan in a wig, and a female to mix him with Margaret Thatcher.
So this whole "Cold War" story, along with the issues going on in South Africa and Africa in general (and so much of the X-Men seems to have to do with civil rights and similar things going on) seems to have inspired some of these stories. Rhodesia even had "forced labor" at certain points according to something I read, or some kind of debt system or restrictive laws and the domination of the white South Africans there and foreign backers who were not of recent African descent had forced some of the locals into basically forced labor or low cost labor. Even the film "Blood Diamond" might hint at some of these elements loosely.
In their minds, these radical "Commie Killers" who were seemingly racists massacring local Africans, were imagining themselves to be some kind of world saving heroes, but as they seem to admit, many of the mercenaries who joined up, were psychopaths who just wanted a place and reason to fight and kill and act machismo. This kind of "real history" may add some depth to the characterization and understanding of the background of the stories involved Genosha potentially.

There is a lot of weirdness involved with the whole thing, and people still obsessed with it and what it "means" to them. Also, there is a whole lot of weird conspiracy stuff involved too, like brainwashing programs and psychopath creation programs in government funded mental asylums and stuff trying to train killers who were then sent to Rhodesia in some cases (operations funded by the U.S.A. and NATO nations and particularly the U.K.).
So the strangeness of a "Gene" scientist and a wacko robot monster guy isn't even all that far fetched, haha and why Metal Gear Solid is also full of similar sorts of weirdness as well eventually. Many of the soldiers in Rhodesia or the commanders were ex-Vietnam soldiers and people who had fought in other conflict and could not get the desire to continue to live a life of action and warfare out of their systems (knowing no other way to live or enjoy themselves, and needing the rush to be in a constant state of danger and chaos, and also liking the "freedom" of being authorities without much in the way of oversight or control over them).

@@DisplayingModelBehaviour Yeah, a weird, often overlooked period and area of history, secretly captured in the history of X-Men and the Metal Gear games lol. There might be some good documentaries somewhere about it, but it provides almost endless stories and story potential, especially with all the very eccentric characters and mercenaries involved in real life. One of the more obscure tangents that often doesn't come up probably is all the strange conspiratorial aspects connected to certain families and weird medical science and experiments involved with getting people over to fight in Rhodesia. For all we know, even some of the strange things that have to do with the emergence of the AIDS virus may have something to do with efforts to try to get the upper hand against the local majority population in South Africa and Rhodesia, which seems to have horribly backfired. There are even crazy stories of scientists having free reign to test out insane genetic experiments they couldn't elsewhere, including trying to create hybridized humans with chimpanzees and to take the head (like Cameron Hodge) off and transplant it and crazy stuff (which was also apparently tested out elsewhere too).
These might just be tales told around the camp fire by bored mercenaries, but some seem to insist that they were involved with or witnessed these things and provided security for these kinds of Wild West of Science tests going on during the period where Rhodesia was just basically an anything goes place for secret ultra-right-wing types. Maybe the NECA Werewolf soldier toys could work for a story set there too, especially in their looking like hybridized humans. There are some stories of weird things in Vietnam, but it makes more sense for there to be weird stuff connected to Rhodesia because of how it was run and who was running it, as compared to Vietnam which didn't really have an established authority that would be interested in such things, though no doubt the various governments probably did experiments of all sorts there too, like with various chemicals and who knows what else.
So sometimes the fiction isn't even all that far off, or is otherwise inspired by elements of stories and rumors that were circulating a few years earlier even. Rhodesia didn't seem to have the equipment of Outer Haven / Heaven, but it did have characters that inspired possibly even a number of figures in the Metal Gear franchise. Which is sort of interesting too that you were recently given all those toys tempting you into the military spy-fi sort of direction haha. Right now that all has to do with the new "Cold War" games going on in the Ukraine and Afghanistan, basically re-establishing conditions during the 90s and 80s as if Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin want to re-live fantasies from that era while roleplaying on the international stage. A great and always relevant movie to watch is called Wag The Dog starring Robert DeNiro and Dustin Hoffman among other great actors both male and female.
The psychic promotion or advertising waves that apparently hit my antennae were more so the ones sent out by Disney to promote Kenobi or something, because even though I hadn't heard anything about that show, I had been seeing and delving into tons of Star Wars stuff on my own, and now it seems like everyone is talking about Star Wars or Star Wars is on the mind, it even keeps coming up in totally un-related videos, so it seems to be somehow majority "trending" on a lot of people's minds. That is why it almost seems like Mickey from the Sorcerer's Apprentice scene in Phantasia sends out some kind of waves (lol probably in the form of money) that goes towards at least the more public forms of promotion, like I'm receiving ads on the channel for Star Wars themed soap for the last few weeks too, but I don't find that one of the weirder or more obscure versions of Star Wars coming up randomly, since that is probably a deliberate paid campaign to coincide with the Disney shows. Kenobi was originally going to be a film like Solo possibly, except that now movies in theatrical releases might not be doing so well, so they decided to release it as a series.
So the secondary thing that is "trending" or coming up, are G.I. Joe sorts of things. In the "air" are ideas of the military, the name "Joe", and new releases from Super7 and Hasbro, and I've heard several G.I. Joe references just appear somewhat randomly as well.

His name, Moreau, and the placement of Genosha on an "island" that is water-locked instead of land-locked like Rhodesia, was likely due to "The Island of Dr. Moreau", which has a fun movie starring Marlon Brando (and other film versions). Marlon Brando is also in Apocalypse Now which has a similar sort of story and vibe in some ways and was based on "Heart of Darkness" which originally was meant to take place in Africa as well.
