Hi Thelma. I hope you haven’t given up on me. I’m so late in getting to watch your vlog. Yep I totally loved that bag and the way you get excited when you find gold. Well, if course I get excited too. It’s infectious. 😊🇳🇿😘
I just ran across your channel and I just LOVE it!!!!! I’m learning things that I didn’t know about jewelry !! Thanks for the information!!! You also have a lovely voice !!!!! Glad I found you !!!!!
My grandpa had a coin holder similar to the inside mechanism. It was not a turtle it was acrylic back when you didn’t need to carry too many coins lol the turtle is super cool!
I agree with other ppls posts, you have a very soothing voice 😊 i enjoy your videos! I love going thru jewelry too. So many unique pieces! It's so amazing to see the different artistry! I often wonder who the artists were, how long were they jewelry makers, what was their background? Who was the person that wore the piece? A teenager? An adult? An older woman or grandmother? My mom was a jewelry maker and art teacher. I wish so much she was still with us. 😢 she would have loved your videos!!! Thankyou again!
Thank you for the darker back ground. I enjoyed seeing the pieces so much. Love how you speak of each piece. Your tone and description for each one says you really love doing what you do. Enjoy your videos and look forward to each new one.
Such fantastic finds. You are always say positive things about the items you find whether you actually like them or not. The class ring looked like 1986 to me. Thank you Thelma stay safe hugs.
Yes! Thank you! I researched the company that made the ring FOLGER- found a catalogue on Ebay- its genuine deco company was at it's height in the 1900s. Thanks for watching.
The turtle is made for scent pads. They are fairly new and you drop a few drops of your perfume onto it and it lasts longer then if it were to be on your skin or cloths.
Dear Thelma. Your little Turtle is a perfume sachet. They would soak the perfume on the little sponge and put it under the clip for a quick freshen up of their scent during the day or evening.
I love watching all the little things that you find and you're educating me on how to find good jewelry compared to cheap jewelry and all the names that are on the back of certain ones so I can look for him when I get my first box which will be coming on May 8th!!!!!
With tassles, a hair straightener can do damage if the thread contains nylon. You could try hanging in the bathroom in that case, to let steam do the work
The coin is a facsimile of a Turkish coin with the signature of the sultan, known as a Tughra. It is a souvenir costume bracelet. I saw loads of them while living in Turkey.
The metallic chain with the Arabic on the symbol is from the ottoman empire the signature of the sultan might be part of the armour pretty cool actually

Cheap is as cheap does- CHANEL costume jewelry is made shoddily and I’ve called it “cheap.” In my context, monetary value is not a factor. Thanks for watching my channel
I get it! 🙌 I used to be a store manager and instead of cheap stuff we referred to it as REASONABLY PRICED, lol. I love the way you honor each piece. It's given me a new perspective on my own collection 💕

32:50 looks like it goes with a bracelet you showed earlier.
I think so too.
The coin is a facsimile of a Turkish coin with the signature of the sultan, known as a Tughra. It is a souvenir costume bracelet. I saw loads of them while living in Turkey.
Btw Thelma I would love to find those jars around here, ( Canada) but I’ve never heard of those before.

For America it’s 925, other countries use different marks🥰

Your fake jade necklace has a bracelet to match you already showed, and now earrings.
Calling something "cheap" bothers me because people who don't have a lot of money may purchase this to have a similar less expensive look.
