- Online ‘Ori Class 🐍🥥🌴 Thank you to all of the dancers that have been able to participate in my weekly livestream classes. Here is a compilation video of my online students performing one of the Ote’a routines that I choreographed and taught in April 2020. This particular dance is based on the story of Hina and the Eel, also knows as the legend of the coconut tree. There are at least 5 (or more) different version of this legend based on which Polynesian island you hear it from. In this version Hina was betrothed to the God of the Eels and Chief of VAIHIRIA Lake, FA'ARAVA'AI ANU.
We livestream my class 4 days a week- Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 7PM Pacific Time, and, Saturdays at 1PM Pacific Time. Message @teahonui for registration DETAILS! We usually start the class with stretching and warm up exercises, cover basic technique and stamina training (like ‘Ori insanity), followed by choreography and a cool down.
Each class is saved and posted for my monthly members so even if you miss it live you can always go back and do the class at your convenience from anywhere in the world 🥰. Members will also have access to all previous 85 livestream videos and can learn the 8 routines we covered the past 6 months 🤗 #livestream #tahitiandance #oritahti #dancewithleolani #teahonui #ilovetahiti #danceinquarantine #virtualdanceclass #socialdistancedancetogether #socialdistancedancing #socialdistancingdanceparty #fortheloveofdance #faarapu
