The two shorter exposures are nice enough, but I kept on wanting another look at the second long exposure, which is quite unusual for me as I'm not the biggest fan of long exposure for moving water and I generally find it a bit unsettling when the foreground is all soft focus. I like the colours. I like the area where you can make out recent waves. The whole foreground now seems (to me) to have a pleasing painterly quality. I keep following the surf line up to the cliffs, than across to that headland, then following a line in the clouds back to the cliffs, which have just enough detail to support being the centre of interest... The more I look the more I realise that this is actually a strong composition. Nice one!
Hi David And thanks for the comment. I didn’t dwell on the 2 long exposures as Durdle door has been shot to death and I felt that I wouldn’t be able to add anything new to the area. Having said that, I couldn’t visit the beach and not take a few images, even if they were no more than holiday snaps. But I appreciate your feedback and I’m pleased you liked it. They only thing I think is lacking in the image is some nice light on the cliffs. Perhaps if I’d have had the light, I may have spoke about it more in the video. Some lovely LE photography Darren. I have only been to Durdle once but I remember how hard it is walking in those pebbles, glad to hear I ain't th only one who thought that! The sunrise shots came out well I thought and conveyed the mood of the morning with slightly brooding skies on what semede to be a windy morning..
Morning Al, I’m not a lover of walking on sand but I really didn’t enjoy walking on those pebbles at all. It just takes an age to get anywhere and it was really tiring. I’ve just printed the 1st sunrise image and I’m really pleased with the way it came out. Morning David. Yeah, I’m normally a lover of long exposures as the effect really simplifies a shot. But when it comes to rocky areas I’d like to start capturing at a faster shutter speed to really freeze the waves. However, Norfolk and Suffolk don’t have many rocky beaches and so practising this form of photography may take me a few years to learn 😉 Have a great Sunday bud.

Morning mate, I really liked the composition of that image, but I cut a lot description out of the video. I was waiting for the sun to rise high enough to light up the grass on the cliffs as I though that would make a all the difference, but instead of sunshine, I got soaked 😉 I don’t know if you’ve ever visited that coastline but It’s a stunning place mate and I’d highly recommend you go. Re: Photography it was crazy busy mate and so we only had the beach to ourselves for 10-15 mins after sunrise. Come midday there were hundreds of people on the beach and 1000’s walking.

Liked the sunrise shot over the stacks best. Agree more light on the foreground would have been nice, but we have to get the best out of what Mother Nature offers us. Love the Jurassic Coast, can't wait to get back there myself.
