Pre-orders for the Scout, a full-squish low-step adventure ebike from Chinese manufacturer Cyrusher, are now being accepted. Billed as a "harmonious blend of compactness and uncompromised performance," the Scout is available with either a single motor/battery or two motors/batteries.
Harry Xie, an entrepreneur, founded the curiously named Cyrusher in 2014 with the goal of supplying "quality bikes made in China to international markets at great prices." Its ebikes, which come in the form of the mid-drive Nitro and hub-motor models like the Ranger and Kuattro, frequently have chunky fat tires.
The Scout has 20-inch wheels with 4-inch-wide Kenda fat tires on them. 180-mm Tektro hydraulic disc brakes provide stopping power. Turn signaling is also included. An oversized 250-lumen headlight and an LED tail light improve visibility during the day and during nighttime travel. Additionally, it is said that the ebike can support up to 330 lb (150 kg) of weight, including the rider.
You can currently pre-order the Scout. The Pro flavor is priced at $3,999, while the single-motor model is listed at US$2,999. However, Cyrusher is currently providing an early bird discount of $300.
