The Legs tackling pressure was first class, the Tigers marking power was supreme. 2 opposing styles at their best. What an epic GF.

@@BIGFELLAH26 Really ? I've can't understand how 25,000 Norwood supporters from 250 metres away see an obvious holding the ball against Martini not paid, Lowe being tackled without the ball, a ghost free kick given to Glenelg when Norwood were running inside 50 for a shot at goal and yet an umpire can't call them from 10 metres away ! These plus 2 others that were around Norwood's forward line all in the last quarter make you think it wasn't meant to be Norwood's day !
As for the dog act from Gould in the opening 5 minutes that discolated Heard's elbow in which a free wasn't paid sums up the umpiring.
McBean pushed Heard in the back ,marks and turns, kicks a goal, not reversed. Hosie does one of the biggest backflips and gets rewarded with yet another free which results in another goal. I watched the game from the eastern wing, went home and watched the replay which is recorded on the western side and all of those no calls to Norwood and the soft frees to Glenelg are there to see. So how does an umpire get it so wrong when closer to the action ?

@@gregrobins5615 I didn’t say that there weren’t any bad calls against Norwood. I said that you saying that Glenelg only won because the umpires were on their side was a case of you being a bad sport and a bad loser. Which is the truth. If the umpiring was really that terrible there would be an investigation into it.

@@gregrobins5615 You're delusional and biased. You had a great run from the umpires overall. 25k lol, you wanted the umpires to win it for you. You got enough goals from soft free kicks already. Sore loser.

Bays dominated in the air but the Legs tackling pressure was immense.

I’m an Eagles supporter, but yesterday for the first time in my life I barracked for another team as if I was barracking for my Eagles. That team was Glenelg. I’m happy for you, enjoy it because we will come for you next year. I never thought I would be happy to see Liam McBean kick a goal, he deserved the Jack Oatey Medal.

I wish the crowds for their home and away games weren’t the 1% of this crowd figure like they are. I’ve noticed the flood is just as prevalent in this league as it is in the afl unfortunately.
SANFL have got to do everything they can to keep Port Adelaide in the competition, otherwise it falls into obscurity.

    • @BIGFELLAH26

They don’t need Port in the competition.

    • @latenightlogic
      @latenightlogic 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@BIGFELLAH26 that’s like saying the afl don’t need Collingwood on the afl. 36 premiership, the rivalry with Norwood, the fact that the sanfl is where port made their name for over a century. I for one will never watch the second best competition if port leave. They may not be ‘needed’ but that’s a very big asset lost.
Further it just stamps the fact that only the big organisations matter… I hate that these corporations are the only thing that matters. The ‘n’ in the sanfl is a joke now after what the afl has become.

    • @BIGFELLAH26

@@latenightlogic I can understand your frustration at the SANFL not performing as it use to. I feel that frustration as well, but Port is not the saviour that the SANFL needs. In fact it’s Ports fault that the SANFL is suffering the way it is, due to their actions of the past by trying to get in the AFL through the back door.

    • @latenightlogic

@@BIGFELLAH26 yeah I wish they could just live harmoniously though, the sanfl is the perfect reserves team for port adelaide seniors and it’s heart is in the sanfl. both parties need to work out their differences.
everything has turned to shit in the 21st century. port leaving that comp would be like the ford and holden plant closing down.

6:13 Baynen Lowe is taken down, didn't have possession. 40 seconds to go. 45 metres out almost directly in front. He had already scored goals from outside of 50 metres. Not paid an obvious free kick. At any other point in the game it would have been paid. Sure, Baynen may have missed it anyway but he could just as well kicked it. That decision, and the thuggery on Finn Heard in the first 5 minutes of the game, cost Norwood the premiership.

The worst decisions were the none call against Martini who literally laid on the ball and Lowe being held onto inside forward 50. Lyons also should've been done for holding the ball after leaning into the tackle with his head. All this in the last 2 minutes of the game.
