Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League North. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 2023 we won the Isthmian League North and will now play in the Isthmian Premier!
We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after they also won their league in 2023. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, an inclusive team and a walking football team...plus our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. Devs changed this club from a sunday league team sort of to a proper football club. Its mad inspiring to watch and he changed the club for the better. He should be introduced in the hall of fame asap.

Just got promoted and still play tough against rivals that are standing above and is able to collect vital points from lower teams. They are something extraodinary to watch. It will be a great achievement if the Tags manage to play in the play-off finals at the end of the season. Up the Tags from Viet Nam!

I would love to listen to a podcast with Greg at some point. Discussing the differences between league and non-league football. The standard of football, differences in players, managers, owners, fans etc. Also just generally how he feels as he's got older. Think it'd be a great listen!

Everyone so surprised by the goal from Toby as we are used to prime De Gea every game while that shot was perfectly well placed for a goal
Ive been watching since the manj-dogs first goal, and yet Toby continues to surprise me somehow. Hes all effort and absolute class.
But can we solidify that Matty is the greatest tag ever? Came from the academy, feel like hes missed only the last game since. Ever consistent, playing right back, left back, youd think the wings and the 10 role. Been everywhere. Absolute star.
I don't think PK is getting mentioned enough he had a great game with breaking the plays up and his distribution!

Super thrilled how this season is encapsulating what an absolute football mastermind he is. For all those who are only just realising, his player history alone should tell you Keithy knows the game. Birds of a feather flock together - there’s a reason this man is Devs right hand.
Great performance from the Tags. In all areas around the club it’s great to see the progress. Being a MUFC fan, Hashtag is literally the only club keeping me invested in football right now 😅

I really like the forward four. The interchange is insane. Just need the striker to attack the spaces more and be hungry for goals. Love his linkup

Toby’s literally leading by example. His energy motivates those around him. It’s not one chance, it’s not just one run per half. Constant & the others follow. Same players + Toby. Moving the same team with the same players up the table.
Mish too cold with it. Has to be MOTM considering the amount of assists he could’ve had if Toby finished those chances.
The level Devs and Keithy have taken this club to since taking over is so impressive and doesn’t get enough credit. The loyalty they’ve shown as well. To even be in and around the play offs after being promoted in to a new division once again, is mental. Wont be long till Hashtag are a Conference side, as long as Devs sticks around
Shoutout to Matty Wooldridge. The confidence this guy has on the ball makes the other defenders surely comfortable whenever they pass him the ball. What a top player coming from the academy and fighting all those seasons with the tags!

Coldest day ever 🥶 moving up the table nicely top 5 finish by the end of the season. Being greedy would have liked a few more goals. A lot of potential POTM in this one. One of our best performances this season possibly

I know he didn’t get his goal but thought AT was immense today, especially the first half. His hold up and link up play is always class. And imo Tom Anderson might have to go down as one of Hashtags GOATS, 3 levels he’s been with them and gets better with the level, what a player and what a club

Devs calling the game from the beginning saying there’s space outside. You can tell how much work goes into assessing the opposing team strength and weaknesses

Spencer hit the nail on the head with us Canadians. Of course it gets to the -30s and -40s, but everywhere has their own "hot" and "cold" temps. The coldest I remember playing football was around -20, but anything above 20° makes me miserable 😅
Much better finishing from the boys for the most part, still some questionable decision making here and there around the box, but you can see the difference in finishing with guys like Toby/Mish compared to a few of the others boys. Great result, but with the chances created it'd be even better to see the boys picking up the results they deserve.

Unless you lived through big freeze '63 you dont know what a frozen pitch it - when i lived in UK we played on frozen pitches all the time, and we used to leave the 2 inches of snow on it for that reason.
The quality of mish is a level above, being able to hit the ball first time with that much accuracy is something he has over a lot of players at this level, he’s scored two beauty’s first time already and I can’t wait to see more 😮💨
