Instead of paper strips, I always use smooth curling ribbon. There are so many colors including very shiny gold and silver. It also comes in iridescent white and clear and sparkling colors. I've been doing this for years with great results. I hope this idea is helpful to everyone.

u know those string thingys idk what they called but basically when he was wrapping it around that’s what it looks like when making it.
It took me about 4 hours, that’s including cutting those strips and sticking them together.
I would be able to make this....

i just used lucky star paper
you just get a normal piece of paper and cut it in stripes well thats what i did you know
