    Thanks for the ride along Dennis and tractor talk. My 1979 F350 4X4 super cab camper special had wheel hop at 58-63 MPH but smoothed out at higher and lower speeds. The load range E 10 plies probably had something to do with it. I bought it in early 79 for $9700 and that would not be a decent down payment nowadays.

    About the rain chances per day.... when they say 10% that is actually a coverage of rain.. not chances of rain. IDk what a coverage area is but if it says 10 percent and you got raid you were just in that particular spot.. I recommend you get Radar Scope on your phone. It can show you where you are and its VERY local and highly detailed. If i was gonna be in a field I would NOT want to bewithout that.

    Have they made any improvements on that krone tedder? Older models you could only transport about 10 mph due to the weight or it would blow the tires out. My dad's friend had one and got rid of it due to so many blow outs where it swerved all over the road. We have a kuhn and you can do about 45 before it will sway. Just curious how that model krone is. I'm sure they improved them.

    Hi Dennis,
    My 6130 has the same road vibration you mentioned. I have the Michelin radials and it seems to be getting less as the tires wear in. I don’t drive on roads that much with it. I also love how well mine performs.

    • @DLHFarms

  • @grantpharazyn7287
    @grantpharazyn7287 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The vibration on the road is most likely due to the front tires being pumped up hard for loader work! I bet if you dropped your tire pressure on the fronts with the loader off it would mostly go away!

    I think your tractor was built in Mannheim in Germany and probably that's why it feels so well screwed together. I was at that factory about 7 years ago (long story) and they are serious people about quality control both on the assembly line and final testing. Also went to the Deere cab and combine factories and their spare parts dispatch location. Germans, not known for their sense of humour(they do, but you need to be very smart to understand it), but by golly they can do quality, and they are proud of it in ze fatherland, and rightly so.

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it went on just as easy. Drive into it get out once put the stands up hook up the hydraulics and go. My Massey doesn't have a single point hydraulic connection so it can be a pain to get the hydraulics hooked back up and I use the loader on it every time I make hay so I just leave it on.

    Tedding is a step that I can omit here where I live. July, August and September in North Texas is like standing under a giant hair dryer. Have to be careful or the hay will turn chalky and squeaky dry.

    Does your new Holland tc 40d vibrate our tc 40d don't give us any problems really other than I'd like the front boom hydrolics don't lift quite like the Massey Ferguson model 25 does I guess it depends on the size of the pump

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it doesn't but it's open cab and you couldn't hear it vibrate if it did, it also only goes about 15mph where the Deere goes 27mph.
