It wouldn't be setup like it is in Unity but you haven't got many options, other than just taking the raw files. :)

When you opened Unity Hub, you will have chosen "New Project" in the top corner? When the new dialog appears you will have choices. 3D (Built-in) - 3D URP and 3D HDRP. The option by default is 3D built in, the other are the other types of Unity pipelines. They all do a similar thing but they're targeted to different platforms. So Built-in is Unity's most longest standing version, URP is newer and focusing on mobile and lower end hardware. Whereas HDRP is specifically targeting high end PC and consoles. :)

this export as fbx dont showing up for me. help.
if you haven't figured it out yet try restarting unity and it should be there
I have a problem, I exported a fbx model with asset studio, when I open the file in blender I see the model with its bones but I can't move it because the vertex groups are not there. When I open the file in unity the model appears, the bones and can be moved so I would like to export the file from unity to fbx but when I try the same as you did in the video nothing appears in blender. Do you have any solution?
That's very strange, I'm not sure about that one as I haven't had any issues. Can you possibly try and find a solution on Google? Sorry I can't be of more help.
I'm currently in unity 2018.1.1f1 and I dont have the package manager thing, do I have to update unity? If I do, the game I have doesnt work, also im new so I dont know that much stuff about unity!!!
Do you have discord?
I do have a Discord channel, it's in my description. Needless to say, you'd most likely want to update to Unity 2019 at least. :) If your project allows for it.
@@SpeedTutor Oh, well i dont think it can run on 2019 so is there a way to make a asset file to fbx or glb, maybe obj too (or dae)
What if I had been select the "Dont ask me again" but I want to change the Export settings? It like can't be back again?😂
That, I'm not sure about at all. Maybe start a new project? :S
hey man, my model exports without its textures, do you know how to fix this? thanks so much dude! :)
You can just drag them straight from your Unity folder, so that shouldn't be an issue? :)
@@SpeedTutor I tried dude..I am having an absolute heck of a time getting it to work...been on discord all morn with a dev and on the ue5 forums lol..can't figure it out :( it seems like the uvs are all messed up or summit..I'm going insane 😂
great video^^ Good work, thank you
I appreciate it, thanks for coming along! :)
Can someone help me? I'm using unity 2019.4.3. And first of all I can't find the fbx exported pack in the package manager, but I installed it from somewhere else and it works. Second of all the Export Options don't show up :(.. Please anyone leave tips?
I'm really not sure about this one, have you tried to a different version of Unity. Just to see if it appears?
when i tried to import fbx to blender i got error "ASCII FBX files are not supported"
Help Plz
Can you use the other export type? I think I discussed it with someone in the comments! :)
@@SpeedTutor i'll try and update when i come home :)
Let me know :)
is there a way to do it with ASCII FBX because the other ways just make a multi part object one part
I'm not sure you can because it's not always supported, especially by Blender.
Thx my friend!
You're welcome, my dude! :D
Perfect. Thanks so much
You're welcome!
does the textures stay with the model or are there no textures on the model
Most likely not, sometimes FBX do take textures with them. But you could just do it manually :)
I bought an asset pack in the Unity marketplace but I want to use the assets in Unreal Engine. I asked the seller if they could give it to me for free or sell it to me at a discounted price on the Unreal Engine marketplace but they told me that I could export it and use it in Unreal Engine. Is there a way to bulk export 3d models and their animations/assets so that I can use them in Unreal Engine or Blender. The ultimate goal is to be able to use the assets in Unreal Engine. I was using Unity more at the time but now I'm mainly using Unreal Engine.
You'd most likely want to export the .FBX files from the unity files. Those usually include all models, animations and so on. :) Then import those into your other programs. I can't remember if Unreal requires other exports, but you could also just copy the textures from Unity and use them too. It wouldn't be setup like it is in Unity but you haven't got many options, other than just taking the raw files. :)
@@SpeedTutor found a way to batch export that works. thought I replied earlier about it, not sure if youtube removed my comment.
thanks it helped
I'm really glad to hear it! :D
@@SpeedTutor i know :)
Hello, does anyone know a good tutorial for exporting FBX to openers in Blender from Unity?
This tutorial does not work I have the following message with Blender when I follow these instructions.
( ASCII FBX files are not supported 'C:\\Users\\...\\...\\Assets\\Building_16.fbx' ).
I'm fine with exporting to OBJ or any format that can be opened in Blender.
Did you use the other format, other than ASCII?
Thank you my guy. You cool
No problem
I don't get "export to fbx" if i rightclick on stuff :(
That's really strange, have you tried throwing this into Google to check if anyone else has had the issue?
Hey bro i use probuilder package, that allows you to edit faces edges and vertices on object in unity, and when i convert fbx model to probuilder mesh, it's geometry gets weird in some model spots, like loses polygons, edges and vvertice. Do you know how to fix it? Thanks!
Sorry I'm not really sure about that one, sorry I can't be of more help but have you tried to search Google?
@@SpeedTutor i dont know, i searched for 15 minutes some time ago, but didn't find anything, i'll try again
clicking export does literally nothing. could be a simple fix but idk.
what if i want to embed textures on fbx from unity
I'm not sure if that is possible, unless you do that from your 3D program.
I just installed Unity and I cant even open the package file bruh 😓
Can you explain a little more on that?
@@SpeedTutor It keeps giving me this weird shader error im using the latest version but it seems to not be working
Are you using URP?
@@SpeedTutor Im sorry im kinda new to Unity I dont know what that is
When you opened Unity Hub, you will have chosen "New Project" in the top corner? When the new dialog appears you will have choices. 3D (Built-in) - 3D URP and 3D HDRP. The option by default is 3D built in, the other are the other types of Unity pipelines. They all do a similar thing but they're targeted to different platforms. So Built-in is Unity's most longest standing version, URP is newer and focusing on mobile and lower end hardware. Whereas HDRP is specifically targeting high end PC and consoles. :)
I am getting aciii fbx error in blender, what do I do???
Did you tick the box on the exporter? As it's sometimes different.
@@SpeedTutorI fixed it, there was a setting to turn that off on the fbx menu, thx 👍🙏
Thanks for coming to give a solution, I hope it will help others at too :)
@@SpeedTutor 👍👍👍
does this work with the vrchat version of unity?
I've never played/used VRChat, so I'm not sure but if it's Unity - It should be fine.
the file showed up in my downloads and then disappeared
What downloads are you talking about?
Can you export procedural mesh with it?
If it's a 3D asset, then you'd imagine so.
Where were you before I just used uModeler instead?! JK. I'm sure it'll be useful for many
Haha, I guess I've never needed it until very recently. I've never actually used uModeller, you'd recommend it?
@@SpeedTutor I stopped using Blender and switched to ProBuilder for the convenience. It's fine for simple mesh and UV work. But uModeller is definitely more powerful and feature-rich and I switched to it soon after. I'd still use Blender over both if not for the convenience of being able to work in the Editor, specially in my current project where I need to do very minor mesh/UV tweaking often.
Thanks for your opinion my friend, that's really great information. Thanks for taking the time to share it, I will definitely look in to it. :)
A very big as late thank u!
You're very welcome, creating anything interesting? :)
what was that map at the start?
I've updated the top of the description to a link to the asset! :) I hope that helps.
But how to export model with texture ?
Just export the textures separately :)
Thanks.
You're very welcome, thanks for checking this out! :D
Theres no fbx converter?
Hi Matt, here's a quick look at my spelunky style game I've been working on. I forgot to show the whip and other things, but it's only a first look at it anyway. I will try and finish this one, this time! Lol
Did you forget to send me the link? :o
@@SpeedTutor haha DOH !

I think it looks awesome Roy! How long did this take you? The mechanics are looking awesome, I like the dynamite throwing.
@@SpeedTutor I've been on it for a while, but most days I can only get an hour on it. 👍
how to get animations?
Animations are a more difficult thing and doesn't always work sadly because they're built differently.
my project is stuck in a 2018 version. guess i cant fuckin export it.
You could still just open the project folder and pull out the .FBX :)
Exported Unity Models. Open Blender>Open File>Location of Exported Files>None of the files can be seen browsing from Blender. Great, None of the fbx files work for me while using Blender.
That's odd, does it normally allow the import of .FBX that way?
@@SpeedTutor The file says .fbx file with a Unity Logo attached to it.
what about animations?
People have told me that animation don't export very well, unless the animation is already part of the .FBX from an external program.
fbx importer wont show up
What version of Unity?
thanks!!
No problem at all! :D
nice car
thx
You're very welcome, what are you creating?
I made the tree in blender. Just like you did the export process. When I export it to the Unity engine, black overlays appear on the frame of the leaves. How can I fix the appearance of the leaves. Can you help ?
Do they leaves who transparency?
im still confused
What are you confused about?
Thanks ^_^
You're welcome!
Doesn't work
What happened?
1st
Insane fast! :P
You missed the whole sense of ur Title … big dislike because it doesn’t work like that…
You just need to make sure to change the export option as per a suggestion in the video and you can export straight to blender without issue :)
for some reason when i right click then press the export and all that. it shows the exporting loading thing but nothing is in the folder i put it in. any idea why?
I'm not really sure about this one, could you try and install it again?
Thank you brother
You're very welcome, my friend. What are you creating?
i installed fbx exporter but no export button is in sight
Did you try restarting Unity?
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.
I swear to God I am trying to open an old project and it simply makes the FBX Exporter export button GO MISSING. I am so mad right now because it takes AGES to import the project and now I can't even export what I want to Blender
thank you!
You're very welcome! :D
