- Taking a first impressions look at the 2024 White River Ursus Cub in Magnacut steel with firesteel and Kydex sheath. The Cub has potential to be a good performer when compared next to similar tools. As always these are just my opinions and you should always use your own judgement when hammock camping. enjoy, like, subscribe, and leave a comment!

Thank you for reviewing the knife! I suppose, you're the first one on TH-cam who did it.
Appreciate it!
Stunningly beautiful!! I’m ordering one💥💥
The full size version is one of my favorite camp blades. I will definitely be snagging this mini version as well.
Same here white river knives doesn’t get the love they deserve. I absolutely love the ursus45
I got the same color for this and the model 1. Their brown burlap micarta looks great and knives are top notch. Really digging this new model as I’m a big fan of this size blade
I just got the same one I really like it so far!!! Awesome video man
Thanks!
Thanks for the review.... That's a great looking knife. And, they actually listened to the guy who invented that steel about the optimal HRC. (It's surprising who hasn't.)
You have a lot of beautiful knives, brother...
I geuss, I need to get one in my XL+ hands before I order one... But, everything else is really calling to me. I would really like a Magnacut blade - and one made at that 62.5 HRC target. And, I am really impressed with White River.
Thanks again.
Anytime, brother! Definitely check it out if you can. The handle is on the smaller size. Other than that, it's a mini workhorse.
I EDC my Ursus 45 and love it. I have the DLT exclusive CPM 3V. I am so content with it that I thought I was done buying fixed blades for a while. But this thing looks fantastic and I need some Magnacut 8n my life. Damn it...
Well thanks now I gotta have one
Beautiful fixed blade
Such a beautiful piece I wish all their products came automatically with vertical carry
It's a nice option
@@papatechie yeah definitely. I’d also really like their sheaths to not be way too hard to manipulate
Looks like a Burlap Micarta I love Burlap Micarta
Mine arrived last week and was dull as a butter knife!! I put it on a precision sharpener, and now it has a wicked edge. Very odd from White River!
Yes that is very surprising! All mine have been popping
Believe it not, this knife fits my XL hands but there's no room left over. I am a pretty big fan of White River Knives and I don't think they get enough attention.
That sounds like good feedback! Quality blades at a good prices!
Maybe because they're like $200
@@1joshjosh1people blow $300+ on benchmade folders. American made products cost more. Sucks but it’s worth it. I pick and choose carefully what I buy because I can’t buy them all like the old days
I’d be getting this before pre ordering from that other company not worth mentioning 😂 that had people waiting 5 and 6 years . 🦅✌️
Yeah amazing I placed an order with white river for magnacut (twice now, this model and the model 1 were in magnacut) and white river had it shipped next day. Perfect fit and finish as well there’s no way that “other” company is any better. I know cause I’ve owned a couple. Key word is owned…they’re gone
Hi. I might of missed it. No links?
This was from whiteriverknives.com
@@papatechie thx.
You can have a lot of knife for 1/3 of what this thing cost. 🤦🏻♂️
Sure I agree there are plenty of blade options out there which makes this community come together. Knife Center, BladeHQ, Chicago Knife Works, DLT, Heart of Texas Armory, etc…have all chipped away at my wallet over the years. This is still a great quality USA made, Magnacut, steel and sheath/handle setup for the price in my opinion.
Personally, I love high quality USA made blades. In fact, that’s what makes up the bulk of my collection. Everything from CRK, Microtech, Protech, Strider, Benchmade, Bradford, White River and etc.
Also, a knife purchase is not just about the knife. It’s also about the warranty and the customer service that goes along with the knife. 🇺🇸
Lol $70 doesn't get you much knife, tbh.
@@logangodofcandyMr “lol”, any sharp blade is a good blade, if you know how to use it.
Most people nowadays just buy knives for fidget toys anyway. Do you really need a $200 knife ?
I realy need 400,- $ knife. Have a lot of them. Great quality. You can use 10,- $ Mora.
I have many 100 and $200 knives. $200 to $300 is the sweet spot, and I do need that much knife.
Honestly, a $200 knife has the things I want and need in a knife. Anything less is just a lot less.
