I've always been leery about purchasing on Macari, but feel a little bit more confident about checking it out after watching your video, despite you getting an item with bootleg accessories. I think that their buyer protection program is super smart and a good way to protect buyers for sure. Glad your return went smoothly through them. Definitely getting down to the end of your loose collection which is wild! Only three more figures to go! I've enjoyed seeing you pick up each and every figure in your run. As always, another interesting and informative video.

Hey Joey! I recently found your channel and have been binge watching for a few weeks from episode 1 and I’m finally caught up! I love your videos and your positive energy, it really makes my day! And while I’d love to go on a vintage Kenner run like you are, I don’t know if it’s quite in my budget at this time. So I made a compromise and I’m working on a MOC Power of the Force run from 1995-1998 (and yes, I started from scratch). It has almost all the same characters we all love at a fraction of the price. I've always been the guy that sticks to trusted sellers, I do from time to time take chances on people I have never dealt with before but they are people that I see around the groups regularly and making sales often. My system has been working out for me well. Still very new to collecting I'm glad I've been able to surround myself with the group of guys I deal with now

Most of the time I try to buy from trusted peeps, but when the item is rare, or doesn’t come up for sale that often, then I have to just be careful, send more pictures to other collectors to see what they think, and go from there. I recently had a repro gaff (Luke stormtrooper pew) on Mercari and the return process went great! Gonna run down to Austin/San Antonio in December and gotta check out the Outlaw moon store... I'll keep my wife busy at the Consuela store, Lol...Great Video Joey!!

Paploo is the first figure my wife bought me back in 1995. My parents tossed out my original vintage set and I was slowly rebuying them in my 20’s. He quickly became my wife’s favorite figure.
As for repro weapons, they have made me almost rage-quit on several occasions.

I have yet to buy from Mercari. Most ppl I know prefer that then to eBay which is understandable. Glad u was able to have a positive experience even if it wasn't the correct figure. That's awesome u went to Texas. I live in North Texas near Dallas. Very cool to see u went to Dallas Vintage Toys.

I've had mostly good experiences with Mercari. I've only bought a couple of vintage SW figures on there, but tons of other stuff (including a Numskull 1/4 scale Pac-Man arcade game in perfect condition for $10 and $5 shipping... incredible luck and timing on that one). The only problem I've run into on a couple of occasions was sellers becoming MIA after a purchase.

The only problem I had was a seller on ebay that refused to ship my Kenner tie fighter pilot I won on an auction.not only would he not ship the item,but he wouldn't refund my money.I had to go through the eBay process ,file a complaint and wait for my refund.

The Magic Card cost 600 dollars because is from the third expansion of magic. Not all the cards from the firsts editions cost that much but a card from the 3 first editions (alpha,beta,unlimited) usually cost something. Forcefield (the card of the video) is in the "reserved list" a list of cards that the company promised to never print again so the copies that exist are the only ones that will. Aditionally the art of the card is made by the same guy that paint the 5 original moxes ( some cards that are the best in the game) and the art also connect with the art of mox jet. So u have a card in the reserved list only printed in the first 3 editions and also has an easter egg in the art with one of the best and famous cards of the game, the card isn´t good in the game but u dont pay 1000 for a yak face because it is the best figure in the market u pay that price for the exclusivity and the scarcity.

This Magic card is the “cheap” version of it too. Think of alpha, beta, and unlimited as first edition, second, third. First is most rare, then second, then third. An alpha/ first edition copy in similar shape costs about 3k.
